We plant a lot of trees, which means we care for a lot of trees! 🌳 Brian, Brendan, Jules, and Keith from our Stewardship team spent a morning caring for our recent Southern Forest plantings at Pennypack on the Delaware, making sure that they were good and watered during our recent heatwaves. 💧Thank you for all you do!! Did You Know 💡The Wandering Glider (also called the globe skimmer or rainpool glider) is the most widespread dragonfly in the world! Known for its migrations, a single Glider can travel up to 3,700 miles in its short lifespan! They lay their eggs in temporary rain puddles and other sources of water, usually around late summer and early fall. While you're out ion the Greenway in the coming weeks, you may be able to see one gliding through - especially near ponds or streams. #WildWednesday by @riverfrontnorth

Round of applause and sincerest of thanks to our @pwcus volunteers who came out to Pennypack on the Delaware yesterday to volunteer with us and help remove roughly 6,250lbs of trash including around 250 discarded tires from the wetlands section of the park‼️They also helped us out with some general landscaping and park beautification. 🌟🌳Thank you again to this awesome group for caring about our parks and helping us to keep them beautiful! We couldn't do it without you. by @riverfrontnorth

Been wanting to learn how to ride a bike but don’t know where to start? Come check out this Learn to Ride series from @yojustride! This series is held along the Delaware River at different parks along the Greenway. Last time, riders learned the basics with Borski Park as the backdrop on a beautiful night! Volunteer with us next Wednesday evening, July 22, at beautiful Borski Park! Our Borski Park volunteer evenings take place on the fourth Wednesday of every month from 6pm to 8pm. Come out to help us keep our newest Greenway park clean, green, and safe! Please wear close-toed shoes & bring a refillable water bottle if possible! We're happy to announce that RNP has received $96,463 from the @chesapeakebaytrust via the Mid Atlantic Community Forestry Fund Award Program. These funds will help our Stewardship team with their efforts in data collection, professional development, arborist certification, and piloting new educational tools.
