This isn’t in the style of what I’d normally post here but I’d like to make a simple post dedicated to my favorite music project ever, Zoviet France (@zoviet_france).
I discovered their music a few years back and kinda didn’t think much of it but over time it’s grown to become my favorite music ever conceived at the hands of humans, particularly Shadow, Thief of the Sun (1991), which sounds exactly like the beautiful towering sandstone and petroglyph ridden area of the world, the North American Southwest; in particular, Capitol Reef National Park. It’s indescribable, really. The music has a quality as if it’s music recorded before music could be recorded, as if it’s existed for thousands of years.
I’ll be playing some of their music on my next radio show on July 4th with lots of similar things, dedicated to them in a sense.
The box set here is Chasse 2, along with other things i’ve managed to get. by @riverfuel
