From the late train lobby at Grand Central, iconic departure point into the heart of America, 2 observations: (1) it’s always amazing how they can magic something totally fake and people will buy into it’s faux authenticity here. Exhibit A, the pop up Parisian bistro, which could be a huge hit or a total flop. Who knows? Keith McNally eat your heart out. And (2) the fascistic attitude to seating ie none of it provided for anyone waiting for a train, as if waiting for a train is something unworthy, and no seats for losers.
