🪐 Meet Oryn. She doesn’t just live on her planet, Nereth. She is a part of it. She came from the deepest, darkest waters of a primordial abyss, condensing straight out of the environment itself. She’s what we call a Mireborn entity, a living blend of organism, mineral, and ecosystem. Her fluid, rootlike body is constantly shifting and blending with the wet charcoal depths and teal sediments around her.She wasn't born. She emerged. She is the planet itself, given a voice and a heart.Before "Lovergirl" drops on July 17, I wanted to introduce you to the worlds that shaped the music. I’ve been quietly building a universe over the past year, and I’m so incredibly excited to finally invite you in. 🪐“Lovergirl” started on my mother’s piano in Mexico. From there, it traveled across the world to England, where it was brought to life at @fairlightstudios with one of my favourite producers, @jackduckermusic, and beautifully mixed and mastered by the brilliant @aubreywhitfield.But the music was only half the journey. Together with my insanely visual wife @luciaomc, we dreamed up a whole sci-fi world, and we were lucky enough to collaborate with the massive talents of @x.machina.flora and @vtopya.studio to bring that vision to life.I am so grateful to have connected with such talented humans. Her body is a semi-translucent mix of opalescent skin, liquid silver undertones, and glasslike filaments that actually generate a soft, internal light.She isn't a human mimicking light. I have very few pictures (but many hilarious memories) from last Friday’s release/birthday party. I felt so much love from all my favourite people. Back to school bb 🎓So thrilled to be part of #YearbookReimagined by my insanely talented wife @luciaomc, who brought together so many of our queer friends for something we didn’t even know we needed.Coming out at school was never really in the cards for me. It felt terrifying and isolating in a time that lacked representation and acceptance. To now witness our friends living as their fullest, most authentic selves has healed something deep inside me. It’s a reminder of resilience, of the power in staying true to yourself even when it feels impossible.p.s. yes, I was absolutely channeling a slytherin quidditch captain. by @riverrojasmusic
