Went 3-1 this past weekend at @jjworldleague and came home with third place.

I’ve spent so much of this year focused on the gi that this was only my second no-gi tournament of the year. I felt great going into it, was able to play my game, and walked away feeling really good about my performance and the progress I’ve made.

As always, there’s more work to do.

Huge shoutout to @bocateambjj for constantly pushing me to be better and continuing to sharpen my game.

Thank you to @RTKHealth for keeping my nutrition dialed in, and @f45_training_wintersprings for keeping my strength and conditioning on point.

Grateful for the progress, grateful for the people in my corner, and already looking ahead.

On to the next one. by @riversflowbjj

Today we had the pleasure of sharing a self-defense training session with members of F45 Training Winter Springs, bringing some of our BJJ and Self-defense knowledge and experience beyond our mats.

A big thank you to the owner, Eric, and everyone who participated and showed interest in learning more about our sport.
Special thanks to our students Chris, Mauricio, and Alex for being part of this project, and to our daughter Nicole, who continues to build her own path on the mats.

In about two weeks, we’ll be back for another session. Looking forward to it!

Thank you, F45 Training Winter Springs, for having us!

Nine more days until I step onto the biggest stage of the year — the @ibjjf Masters World Championship in Las Vegas.

Every early morning, hard round, tough workout, sacrifice, and competition this year has been building toward this moment.

@f45_training_wintersprings has been getting my strength and conditioning dialed in, and my @bocateambjjusa family have been pushing me every single day on the mats. I feel sharper, stronger, and more prepared than ever.

The work is almost done. Now it’s about staying focused, trusting the preparation, and showing up ready to perform.

Here’s a simple sweep and back take from Octopus Guard 🐙

There are a ton of options from this position, but these are two of my favorites because they’re easy to hit and work at a high percentage.

Sometimes the simplest techniques are the best ones.#bjj #jiujitsu #bocateam #nogi #explorepage✨ by @riversflowbjj

Great day. A little bummed I only had one opponent. I wish more people had signed up so I could’ve gotten a few more matches in, but at the end of the day, mat time is mat time and every opportunity to compete makes me better.

It was a good tune-up as I keep building toward the real goal — IBJJF Masters Worlds in Las Vegas in 3 weeks! Here’s a few clips that got me gold.

Huge shoutout to my team @bocateambjjusa and my sponsors who have been a big part of my training getting me ready:
RTK Health for keeping my diet, recovery, and overall health in check.
@f45_training_wintersprings for pushing my strength and conditioning and making sure my body is ready to perform. Next up, Vegas!!

DOUBLE GOLD. ZERO DOUBTS. 🥇🥇

At the IBJJF Orlando Summer International Open 2026, our teammate, student, and coach Chris Rios dominated the competition, capturing Double Gold:

🥇 Master 2 Purple Belt – Middle Heavyweight Champion
🥇 Master 2 Purple Belt – Absolute Champion

This wasn’t luck. It was the result of relentless training, discipline, and an unbreakable mindset.

We couldn’t be prouder to have you representing Boca Team on and off the mats.

Congratulations, Chris. This is what excellence looks like.
