In case you’re new here, hello, I’m Lara from Sydney, Australia!
I’m in my late 30s, AuDHD/Spoonie, a huge @nineinchnails fan (you may know me as the Aussie Pig), I’m a Trekkie, human to Byron the Border Collie, music producer/sound engineer/sometimes on community radio under the name “Digitalis”, artsy fartsy crafty person (various mediums), and if you were here a while back, this page was basically my beauty blog.
Biggest brag worthy moments of the past year: raised $2k for a cancer support charity by not drinking for a month; travelled across the east coast of North America for a month, solo while disabled (first time ever overseas too) where I met my family, saw NIN for the first time in over a decade and met the coolest people ever (long time friends and new ones); ate a Philly Cheesesteak in Philadelphia; ate a Cuban sandwich in Miami; and advocated myself onto a waiting list for a full hysterectomy which is happening really soon (because fuck endometriosis).
Just existing as a disabled human, no biggie.

TW: Death
.
On the 17th June 2024, we said goodbye to my Dad, Josef, after he spent the past year undergoing treatment for metastatic pancreatic cancer. He made it to the one year mark and passed peacefully, without any pain, surrounded by family and close friends.
I would like to thank everybody who reached out to us with love and support. As you all have noticed, I haven’t posted much lately, except photos of Dad on stories, and this is a note that I’ll be taking an extended break from content for a while.

I would like to honour him by raising money for @dreams2live4.aus, a charity that makes dreams come true for adults living with metastatic and advanced cancer. They granted his dream of a holiday to Naarm/Melbourne to see his sister back in February (he actually made it back there for her birthday in early June). I won’t be participating in their Dry July campaign this year, but I will be hosting fundraisers independently. Please donate if you are able.

Have you seen those acrylic mini CD jewel case keychains? I found blanks on sale while I was buying sticker supplies, so I bought a bag of 10 to try them out. They came with NFC stickers, but I haven’t researched how to set them up yet.
For my first keychain, I made a Nine Inch Noize CD using the official album artwork for the outside and @dredscythe’s custom fan made Coachella digipak printable project for the inside (available on his website).
I was in a rush to complete this, so the layout isn’t lined up properly. I printed everything on premium presentation paper using photo settings and hand cut everything. The CD label was stuck on with double sided tape instead of being printed on proper sticker paper/cut accurately with the Cricut, but it was fun to figure out the dimensions for everything and create a mini version of a CD I bought months ago that isn’t shipping for a few more weeks 🤣
As usual, no AI, just hours spent figuring shit out with my human brain. Also, no commish.#

Health // Pertubator // King Yosef // UNSW Roundhouse 19th Sept 2026

A fun evening, saw lots of old friends, waited in the merch line forever, danced a lot, gave away 100 stickers, got some coffee from Beej, got photos with Johnny and Beej!
Also, why does Johnny look like he’s wearing a fur cloak with a glare to go into battle in the fifth photo? 🤣
Thanks for playing here again, I actually got to go this time! Come back any time (preferably with NIN, we Aussie Pigs are still all lined up, waiting!)

The strobe light tee is back for @_health_ tonight!
Wearing a lot of DIY/customised gear, including my fully handmade collar and bondage pants chains (I used fabric scraps from hemming another pair of pants!)
There is a story highlight of the process on my insta.
The last time I wore the strobe light T-shirt was last year with @catindminor when we went to see @nineinchnails in Brooklyn.
No commish… sorry!

CW: Terminal cancer
A few photos from Friday’s @dreams2live4.aus Ladies Lunch. I didn’t take many photos, nor did I pose for any 😅
Mum was supposed to come with me, but she had a lurgy. The other person I asked couldn’t come either, so I was solo!
I finally met the lovely Annabel, the Dream Maker who granted Dad’s Dream, and Heather, who has been my go-to contact at the charity since then.
The event was hosted by @philburtonofficial of Human Nature. The lady sitting next to me thought I was too young to know who they were 😅 she was sweet, but I had to tell her that I was 38, you know, I’ve been alive long enough to have a mid life crisis! Anyhow, I’ve seen Human Nature a few times (like 20+ years ago when I went to a lot of shows/studied & worked in the industry).
I had a very emotional reunion with some of Dad’s oncology nurses. It was completely out of context, so I didn’t recognise anyone, until after a while, I remembered two of them well. I was an absolute hot mess when Dad was on the ward, so it was nice to be away from that setting and be myself outside, and see the nurses let their hair down and party. I told a few stories about him and showed some photos of better times in our lives.
The chooks… so there’s a whole story about the crochet chickens that you can find on the Dreams page, but they all had unique names. I bought one named Zahra, and I also got to meet the lass who made and named her! Zahra (a fellow crocheter!) had a Dream granted and she is now in remission!
Okay, it wasn’t without tears, hence the tissues on the table… there was a bit of trauma that got brought up. There was a special guest host, Melanie Olsen, who is also a Dreamer, currently undergoing chemotherapy for metastatic breast cancer that spread to the brain. She was given three months last November, but has managed to survive this long. Her story brought up lots of reminders of what Dad went through, and the clock ticking away. She was an absolute delight and I wish her happy memories with her dear family. 💜 by @rivetlicker

Felt cute, not gonna delete.
I am off to a fundraiser lunch event today with @dreams2live4.aus. I was kindly invited as their guest.
They are an amazing charity that I hold dear to my heart because they granted my Dad’s dream when he was told he might not make it to see his sister’s birthday (he did, but those last weeks were absolutely horrible).
I should mention that my Dry July page is still open until the end of August, so if you have some spare dollarydoos, it’ll all be going to make Dreams come true for adults going through advanced and metastatic cancer. Granting a dream can bring both patients and loved ones joy at the worst possible moments in life.
Thank you to everybody who supported me last month when I had no booze! 💜

Sorry @kraw, you probably didn’t think this would happen when you released the NINz physical release label assets!
Don’t worry, I’m not vandalising any property, it’s only a fridge magnet, and I got permission from my neighbour to use their car. Might put one of the stickers on my red wheelie bin though 🤣

@kraw released the hi-rez Nine Inch Noize label files and I decided to make a fridge magnet with it - shown against Byron’s towel (dog hair included).
Printed on @canonanz magnetic photo paper.
Not for sale. Magnets won’t be part of the NIN Sticker Project because EXPENSIVE.
