🛹 Ollie Progression and Building Confidence

One thing I’ve noticed while coaching skateboarding is that many students already have the basic ollie technique. What often holds them back isn’t the movement itself—it’s the confidence to commit.

In these 5 videos, you can see a progression I regularly use to help students feel comfortable with obstacles step by step.

The idea is simple :

• Start in a safe environment
• Break the challenge into manageable steps
• Build confidence through repetition and success
• Increase the difficulty gradually
• Let confidence grow naturally

Every student progresses at their own pace, but creating situations where they can succeed consistently often makes a huge difference.

For me, skateboarding isn’t only about learning tricks. It’s about learning how to overcome hesitation, trust the process, and enjoy the progression.

These exercises are an example of how I help students bridge the gap between having the technique and believing they can actually do it.
