I slept all day to find the energy to teach a class and something powered me up to be able to keep teaching. I know it was you. You always push me when I need it most.

All I can say is what God has planned, no man can change. Earlier this year my girl @bunnab said she wanted to get her mom a house this year and y’all know I love a surprise. We looked at a few options but when this house came up, everything stopped. She knew it was the one for her mom and we had to get it done.

A few months later she cashed in on a 6 bedroom estate for her mom and siblings and all I can say is, job well done. I’m so proud of you Bunna!! 23 and having REAL motion, not reel motion. Cheers to many more and congrats Mama Bunna❤️

Becoming a mother was not on my bingo card but honestly, God has a way of giving you the things you need when you least expect it. These two boys changed my heart, my mind and my life. The unconditional love that comes with being a mom is a love I wouldn’t trade for anything.

@thedevelopmentdr thank you for giving me the greatest gift of all. Thank you for making me a mom to the most amazing boys this world could give.

A letter to my father 🤍🕊️

I’m so blessed and honored that I got to pen this message to my father before we laid him to rest. Hundreds of people gathered to my childhood church to honor his legacy and pay their respects to him so I had to find the courage to remind them all who John W Bonds Jr IS!

My father is a real Chicago legend. From the communities he has helped build to coming up with the idea that minority contractors could work together and build the presidential library for the first African American president of the United States (WHICH THEY DID!!!!). People thought he was a dreamer but he was a realist. He knew exactly what God put him on this earth to do and that was to be a change maker.

I am so blessed to have been able to call him mine for nearly 30 years on this earth. As Bishop said, a servant is one who uses the talents that God gives them to multiply and share with others. And to that all I can say is, job well done thy good and faithful servant. My heart aches daily thinking of him but my biggest mission now is to make sure his legacy continues through me and my children and that’s exactly what I intend to do.

To my husband, @thedevelopmentdr … thank you for never leaving my side. For making sure that I said my goodbyes with no regrets. For holding my mother’s hand through her tears. For making sure Mr. Bonds had that suit on the way he wanted. For carrying me this entire time and most importantly, for carrying his casket to his final place of rest. You were a gift that my father asked God to give me before he left this earth and I’m so glad he was able to give me to you before he departed.
