All of a sudden one more practice warm up or game doesn’t sound so bad. Saying goodbye to this sport has been one of the hardest most heartbreaking things in my life. I never would have guessed how much this sport would mean to me. Softball has given me so much joy, laughter, lessons, life long friendships, family, and memories that will last a lifetime time. It has taught me how to trust and work with others, believe in myself, and have determination to accomplish my goals. All the losses celebrations and everything in between has shaped me into who I am today. The little girl who started tee ball 14 years ago would be so proud of the player she became.
Thank you softball for being so much more than just a game. I never thought this chapter of my life would come to an end but it couldn’t have ended a better way. I am so beyond grateful for all the things softball has given me from the friendships to the life lessons. I hope everyone gets a chance to experience a chapter in their story like the chapter softball gave me in mine.
Thank you to all my coaches that have helped me through my journey and for always supporting me and pushing me to become the best player I could be. Thank you to all my teammates who have always been there for me. I got so lucky to have such amazing, caring, and fun people to spend my time with. I don’t think softball would be as fun without any one of you! Thank you to all the supporters, family, and most importantly my parents. Without any of them my experience with this sport would not have been the same. Thank you softball you will be missed so much! 💕🥎
