Last year, Mèreon was one of the first restaurants we visited after S was born (she was tiny in these photos) 🌥️ We’re a family that’s not big on itineraries, hence our love for discovering places organically—so to stumble upon this while passing time before catching a ferry back then was a nice surprise! They serve classic French comfort food and ofc I had their O’s Breakfast with fresh brioche toast (I’m big on breakfast dishes hehe). Love how everything tasted! Looking back, I find it amusing that I didn’t understand a lot of the things on the menu since I wasn’t learning French back then (they have English on it but ofc was trying to figure out what some things meant). Seeing my photos from here is a good reminder to go back and see if I’ll have more context (maybe order in français if there was a chance but I’d be so shy to do so hehe) 🫶C’était tellement bon (It was so good)! Berry picking at @krauseberryfarms 🍓🫐 We’ve been wanting to do this summer activity since we moved here! And because our little girlie loves berries and her big brother loves trying out new things, we thought this was perfect way to have quality time as a family!I took so many photos and videos, but they’ve been sitting on my phone because I’ve been in a bit of a creative slump lately, overthinking how to use this space. I’ve always been a photo-first person and honestly miss how social media used to be—back when there was no pressure to curate everything. There’s SANSRIVAL in BC? 🤯B’s favourite dessert/pastry of all time is sansrival. Ever since moving here, he hasn’t had it. But one day, while cruising around Langley to find a place to eat dinner, we found this gem… and guess what they had??? Bobby ordered 2 so he can make the most of it haha!They offer a wide selection of food and drinks, but if there’s one thing that caught my eye, it’s their Filipino-inspired items like halo-halo, leche flan latte, and a longganisa burger with croissants as buns. Been putting this off for a while now, but a huge thank you to @debsss_a and all the online mamas who told me to go to @marvelous.medicalpiercing. You guys were so right! 😭We drove out to PoCo to see Amanda (she does home visits too btw! 🚗) and she was honestly the best. She was so incredibly gentle with S, and the numbing cream made the whole process completely painless and tear-free. Literally 40 minutes start to finish!It was such a good experience that I actually ended up getting mine pierced too lol. Already planning my next ones (yes plural haha) 🙈If you’re looking for a sign to finally get yours or your kiddo’s done, this is 100% it. Today, I went fishing in Silverbrook Farm in Abbotsford. We drove 1 hour from home to get there. After we found parking, we checked in and our guide gave us instructions on how to fish. They have 2 ponds. They also have cats, dogs, chickens, and Highland cows. We went fishing in the second pond called Horseshoe Pond (that’s the name because it was shaped like a horseshoe). We had to get a bucket for our fish storage and fill it up with water. Then, we got our bamboo fishing rods and used the bait the guide gave us.After picking a spot, my dad taught me how to put bait on and cast the rod. When I tossed it, my bait was too near so I went to a different spot. I tossed the bait to a group of rainbow trout and I caught a 13-inch fish. I was so happy when I got it. My parents also tried it with me. My dad got two 12-inch ones and my mom also got a 12-inch one, but she hit the jackpot and also caught a 15-inch. We brought all the fish we caught to the guide and he gutted it and put it in a bag full of ice. After taking pictures, we loaded everything in the car and drove home.I’m happy I got to fish today with my family! ❤️ It was the best day ever! by @rjrdancel

How is my baby girl turning 1 this month?! 😭👶Everyone tells you that the days are long but the years fly by, but you don’t actually get it until you’re staring at your own baby wondering where the last 12 months went (and same with my son who is now 11 years old waaaah)!I also love that our @stokkeusa Babyzen YOYO has literally grown right alongside her through every single milestone 🌥️ Love how modular and compact this is.Fun fact: I helped launch Babyzen in the 🇵🇭 back in 2017 and at that time, I could only dream of having one. Since we couldn’t afford it back then, I would make the most of events where this stroller was featured; trying out their demo units so we could get a little taste of what it would be like to actually own one. The best time at @littlebeansplaycafe.ca !!! ✨This has been on my saved places for a couple of months now, and we finally spent the afternoon here (on Father’s Day). Kids got to play while Bobby and I shared a matcha latte and roasted chicken panini (w/c lowkey is driving us to get panini press)! Aaaaand they actually offer drop-in daycare (mind-blown), which would have been heaven for me as a WFH mama (if only we lived closer). Their whole cafe concept is a game-changer and wished there were more places like this available! 🙌With S turning 1 soon, we’ve been on the hunt for places where she and Y can both play + us parents can still have a good time. I’ve always been afraid of rest or taking a real break because I hated the idea of being alone with my thoughts. But staying still, listening to vibrations of gongs and singing bowls, and shutting myself off from everything really released so many bottled-up emotions, and it honestly felt like untangling all of the tangles in my mind.I left with so much clarity—both about what brings me anxiety and what brings me joy. Facing those feelings was hard, but knowing what’s there is exactly how I’m going to move forward 🌱Grateful for Constance of @heartspacehealingarts for leading this beautiful session! And can’t thank @ice_justine enough for my first-ever sound bath experience 🌥️🫶 Thank you for the gift of rest and for giving me the time and space to process with depth and with intent.
