. 💥💥💥WHAT A WEEK! 💥💥💥 It all started by being nominated for an @industrydanceaward by @masqueradedance for our @brianmueca Jazz piece “She Bangs.” We received a call towards the end of summer from the IDAs asking if we could perform the piece LIVE at the awards. RJ’s was only one of two studios asked. The logistics were not ideal- this piece was from last season and has not been rehearsed in months. The dancers are all back in school and have tons of different commitments. Not only that, but we had several graduated seniors who were such a large piece of the energy of the dance away at college. We ultimately moved forward because it was such an honor to be nominated and then asked to perform live, truly a once in a lifetime opportunity for the girls. They came together and, MAN, they DELIVERED. A few minutes prior to performing their piece they found out LIVE that they won the “Best Jazz of 2026” award. It was an electric evening watching it all unfold. This opportunity and award could not have been given to a more deserving, hardworking group of ladies. We also got the privilege to attend the “Gala of the Stars” ceremony the next evening at the Beverly Hilton and rubbed elbows with some of the most iconic dancers in the industry! In true form, we came home not to rest, but to set even MORE choreography for our next season. These ladies are built different. This is stuff dance dreams are made of! Thank you to all our friends and family for supporting us along the way. Every kind word, comment, and click is appreciated. We love this journey we are on! #rjsdancestudios #rjsdancefam #stldancers #stldanceinstruction #dancestudios industrydanceawards ida2026 dancersagainstcancer by @rjsdancestudios
