DAY 1 / 10 OF POSTING A PERIPHERY COVER EVERY DAY

TAG @mattperiphery IF YOU LOVE ME ‼️

Mixed by @mixedbysasha

Today’s song is THE WALK off their debut self-titled album. It literally took me 15 years to properly learn the end of this intro, with the China pattern going over the bar line with the kick rhythm, it’s a fun and tricky one for sure!

THANK YOU FOR 1,000 ❤️ I am actively climbing the shoulders of giants. My journey on the #drums has been a long one, and I have so many people to thank:

[slides 1-6] Thank you to so many incredible inspirations, but especially the ones I’ve had the pleasure of meeting. @reynlord , @travis.r.drummer , @mattperiphery , @l___a___d___a , @ajplaysthedrums , and @jpbouvet — you were kind, down to earth, and passionate about our shared love of the craft. I also spoke with @alexrudinger and can say the same about him.
[7] I wouldn’t be the #drummer I am today without you, @sam_ruttenberg . You are a phenomenal drummer, educator, inventor, and I’m proud to be your student.
[8] to my beautiful wife @raddestmadd who always encourages and supports me, who understands the time and sacrifices I have to make to pursue my dreams, and who inspires me to live life to the fullest — I could never thank you enough.
[9] @mixedbysasha your skills as a producer and ARTIST been paramount to my growth. More importantly, your friendship. Thank you for everything.
[10] @solosamuelmon Thank you for always reminding me that music is a communal experience. Getting to play alongside you for 15 years has been a gift.
[11] @hazeyeyesmusic @ryan.k1493 thank you for the amazing memories. It didn’t matter how small our crowds were, every show we played is a treasured memory. Reunion show 2026?? 😏
[12] @znernicus you were my first teacher. I remember watching you play in jazz band and looking up to your talent. I still do.
[13] I can’t tag all these magnificent dudes, but to the CHW JAZZ BAND — what a glorious ride 😎
[16] To all the ppl I played music with at SHU, thank you for the memories…and go pirates 😜
[17] @kb_kabirbhattacharya @commissar91 @regkmason and other collaborators - I’m so hyped to work with you!
[18] thank you for putting in the hours and the passion.

Not pictured but VERY important is my Mom, Dad, Bill, all family and friends- thank you for nurturing my love of music and life itself. by @rjtempo

Ya see the trick is to release a powerful masculine grunt and then play fast and then play slow and then speed it up again and then get a lil esoteric and then play some feral blast beats and then write a silly caption and then post it and then go on with your day #drums #doublepedal #blastbeats #deathmetal #deathcore by @rjtempo

Told myself I wasn’t gonna post drums-only vids on reels anymore (story only) but it’s been A WHILE since I dropped anything (due to 🫩circumstances🫩) so I figured WHY NOT SEE IF THIS GOES ANYWHERE?? I built some momentum with the Periphery and Blast Beat challenges and I’m actively afraid of ruining all that with this ABSOLUTE SLOP but life is for the living and I gotta let yall know I’m still out here and shredding.

Anyway I have some actual “Content” planned for the next month or so and I’m very excited to let you all in on the challenge this time around. More info on that soon. For now… pls like 😜 and thanks as always 😘

THE FINAL DAY OF BLASTING IS UPON US. I LOVE @gojiraofficial AND I LOVE @marioduplantier AND I LOVE YOU😉 FOR WATCHING AND SUPPORTING! I got in a car accident yesterday and I’m just so grateful to be alive. I hit 3k followers and Craig is now one of them. 5 years of the content grind is really starting to flower, I can feel new heights and opportunities on the horizon. I’ve already met so many cool people and made so many cool things. I’m gonna keep climbing. All I wanna do is make music and be around the people I love the most (you know who you are). This life is a blessing and I am not interested in wasting one more day. In this often cruel world, you better have a strong backbone.
