I have a bad feeling that whole project is going to take me in directions that aren’t right! I think I might take the materials out to the memory care facility and get my husband to have “fun” maybe making decisions about this new album as it is for him anyway! I can photograph the layouts as he makes them .. I can take some quieter paper for him to pick from .. his Mom put captions on each of the photos on the back and stuck them in the album, so i am printing each of her captions because the are so sweet and handwritten. The picture on the front is one of the last ones I have of her with him in such an embrace. by @rjwirepaint

Finally i am taking apart bulky old deteriorating photo albums and making new ones on Blurb. But first pics have to be scanned and after trying several scanners i found one that just plugs in to laptop and not heavy or expensive as scanners go. But even simpler don’t scan just make layout w originals then take photo of layout and then include envelope of originals that are worth keeping. Now I am deciding ways to make layouts something/wallpaper under that adds to pictures, maybe drawings made by his parents.. or lyrics of a song they wrote and published, pics of their old houses or cars .. will just need to gather all and put photos over and see what happens..I have figured out some things that might be helpful if someone wants to do this. The easiest way to make the books is to make all the pages just by laying the items/photos/backgrounds together/ no glue. take pics of the layouts, so when you go on book program to make them on line .. you only have to drag and drop them, thus that part will be quick. I am doing this project while watching Marie Kondo Spark Joy re-runs and Minimalist House shows. Oh check on sizes of available book pages so that your layouts have similar proportions. Blurb makes beautiful books and so does Shutterfly, but Blurb doesn’t try to sell you stuff in the middle of making them, so. annoying and confusing. by @rjwirepaint

Another shape but more about nature than just recent ones .. maybe this is the way i am leaning .. shapes that go back and forth between organic and emotion playful shapes? Really i never know but shapes have always been important to me. I am more interested in sculpture, ceramics, volumes..but paint is easier than the other materials, I have allergic hands which don’t respond well to clay, and my mom was a good potter. by @rjwirepaint

my safe space/house was invaded by a wild teenage bear, who insisted on staying here.. I think this painting relates as it is only the thin blue space that separates us. He jumped over the fence and knocked down the cover to the crawl space right under my bedroom. He had been there for days when i asked neighbors if they were moving furniture and the answer was no. I saw LARGE POOP the same night and I looked and saw the ripped wire, and checked the crawl space and yep all torn. My friend Kira said I am coming over to take care of it and over a few days he left and when he came back the covering was now more secure and though he pushed and pushed it didn’t give. I am not sure whether he is the red shape or I am. If red represents fear then he is the green and brown shape. by @rjwirepaint

Recent but not new painting, re-arranged living room, and dressed for a luau at Cliff’s memory care facility last evening. Each day I choose to make a rich one. The older I get the more I savor what I have and can share. I laugh at my younger self for feeling sorry for older people ( then, people with any grey hair showing, or maybe wrinkles). by @rjwirepaint

Relationships! I came home and visitors were lying on my front lawn, and whether lying or standing they surprised me with their continued casualness so I must have painted that relationship between shock, purple in front, heat and calm. by @rjwirepaint
