This month has been ACTION PACKED
Shoutout to the mayor for throwing a parade for my birthday … oh and the Knicks win😅🎉

I’m definitely powered up from the energy of the city this birthday ⚡️

I had a lil accident that landed me in a boot 😒 nevertheless, we move

I met the deputy borough president @revkimcouncil5

My friends successfully threw me a surprise birthday party, which is very much appreciated. I feel so loved and I truly had a great birthday.. thank you for all the well wishes from graduation. I’m sorry I didn’t get a chance to reply to everyone and thanks everyone who wished me happy birthday as well.

Cheers to more of more. 🥂🥂

No matter what I do, where I go, or how it may seem that I’ve strayed from music, it will always be my foundation. I found a program that supported my love for advocacy and prepared me to implement some great public health campaigns. I wrote this song (Find Myself) with friends, in the mist of midterms, took breaks to take tests and all. When people asked why I would possibly go back to school and questioned if I was still “doing music”, I ignored them and stayed the course. I never planned on pursuing higher education for many reasons. No one’s journey is cut and dry. I’m enjoying my journey because I’ve dictated my path and have gained understanding of my “why” and overall this graduate experience was fun and fulfilling. I had professors that encouraged and supported my music focused campaigns and believed in the power of music so much so that my advisor thought of me and presented the opportunity to close out graduation with a song. That same advisor PURCHASED my album “Requirements Have Changed” listened to it and provided feedback (lol).

I know that we may feel hopeless because of all of the madness in the world, but I encourage you to “the thing” anyway. Not only did I complete a master’s degree, I released an album, compilation and sang at Lincoln Center. Time will pass. Don’t let it pass without fulfilling your dreams. You CAN have it all! 🎓🎶🎤 #masteredit🎓❤️ #mastermami #singer #cuny #publichealth taken in Lincoln Center by @rkhty

I’m so happy I was able to attend @therecordingacademy’s Grammys on the Hill Forum. The discussions were timely, refreshing and inspiring. There are so many people doing amazing things for musical artists from legislation to music education to building up the musical economy. This is a type of work I’ve always wanted to do without compromising who I am as a musician. I feel so validated, knowing that my ideas weren’t farfetched and there’s at least a foundation for me to work off of. New music loading still. 😉 taken in Washington, DC by @rkhty
