ADHD Barbie™ 💜 She met him twice and her brain has already opened 37 tabs. 😂

Dating with ADHD can mean big feelings, hyperfixation, rejection sensitivity, and analyzing one slightly different text for the rest of the afternoon.

At first, it feels flattering...the attention, the big gestures, the instant “connection.” But sometimes what looks like green flags is really love bombing.

Love bombing isn’t about you. It’s about control. The highs feel amazing at first… until they disappear, and you’re left confused AF, wondering what happened.

Here’s how to tell the difference:
✨ Love bombing is intense + overwhelming.
✨ Real love is steady, consistent, and safe.
✨ Love bombing feels addictive.
✨ Real love feels secure.

You’re not “too much” for wanting clarity. You’re not “crazy” for second-guessing. You’re just learning the difference between chemistry that burns out and love that lasts. 💌

Save this for the next time you’re tempted to mistake chaos for connection, and send it to a friend who needs this reminder too.

I wish I learned this sooner👇🏻

💁🏻‍♀️If I could tell my younger self one thing, it would be that so many of the things that appeared to be challenges, rejections, or problems in dating and relationships (and honestly life in general) were often just the thing I needed to create space for something so much better.

🫶Being able to zoom out and see this aerial view can help in times of chaos and confusion. Even when we can't quite see how everything fits together, 🧩remembering this concept can give us strength in the times when things seem unmanageable and overwhelming.
.
.
.
.
It’s all working out for you, your job is to visualize it happening, be intentional with your thoughts and actions and then practice a gentle surrender of loosening your grip and let the universe handle the rest.✨
.
.
The ongoing work is to then trust the process even if we are in the midst of the darkness, even if we don't know when or how it will happen...we can do the mental work to remind ourselves that we are where exactly where need to be. 🧘🏽‍♀️✌️💗
.
.
👩‍❤️‍💋‍👨Even if though we can’t see how the details will fall into place in the present, try right now to start imagining that they will.💜🙌
✨It all works out in the end. If it's not ok it's not the end yet. He's on his way!

You have a PhD in decoding mixed signals, but somehow still don’t know if he wants a relationship. 💀

Dating in 2026 is exhausting enough without turning every text into a crime scene investigation.

You can want commitment, communicate clearly, and still have standards.

Less detective work. More intentional dating.

Date smarter, not harder. 💜

Some men don’t need a Halloween costume. They’ve been haunting your dating life all year. 👻💀

The situationship. The ghoster. The “I’m not ready for a relationship” guy who suddenly found his future wife two weeks later.

Consider this my official haunting list.

👻 send this to the friend who’s entitled to a little paranormal revenge.😱

And follow @rm.psychotherapy for more modern dating humor, green flags, and tips to date smarter, not harder.

Let’s be real...it’s not that all men suck.
It’s that your nervous system keeps choosing what feels familiar.

That’s why the guy who’s hot-and-cold feels so magnetic.
That’s why breadcrumbing feels like enough.
That’s why chaos feels like chemistry.

But familiar ≠ love. Familiar is just a cycle. And you’re not stuck in it forever.

You break it the moment you start choosing different:
✨ Steady instead of hot-and-cold
✨ Consistent instead of breadcrumbing
✨ Secure instead of confusing AF

Because your future husband? He won’t give you mixed signals. He’ll bring clarity, calm, and consistency.

Save this for the next time you catch yourself tempted to go back to “same guy, different body.” 💌

When everyone else is getting engaged and you’re still overthinking a first date. 💀

Stop letting overthinking, dating anxiety, and imaginary timelines convince you you’re behind.

You’re allowed to be a work in progress AND find love along the way.

Your timeline is yours. Keep going. ✨

💜 As a dating and relationship therapist, I help women get out of their own way, break old patterns, and make room for the love they actually want.
