In the last few weeks I have been able to be creative, practice playing with my 120 Ohuhu Acrylic markers and learn how to carve my own stamps! Luckily I am a craft hoard and already bought a Linocut Stamp set last year. So thanks to @erikabeeswax for inspiring me to get it out and make something! I am addicted!! Sometimes we all need someone to remind us to slow down.

To pause.

To breathe.

To recognize that just because we can’t see the growth doesn’t mean it isn’t happening.

Life has a way of making us feel like we should always be doing more, achieving more, and moving faster. But some of the most meaningful changes happen quietly, beneath the surface, long before we ever see the results.

I’m incredibly grateful for the community of Muslim women in my life who lovingly remind me to slow down, give myself grace, and trust Allah’s timing. Those sisters know who they are, and they’ll never fully know how much their presence, wisdom, and encouragement have meant to me. 🤍

After our workout chat, we found ourselves discussing the simplicities of life and what it truly means to find peace.

Sometimes, when we give ourselves permission to leave behind the things we thought we needed and step away from the constant noise of this fast-paced world, we discover that peace and joy aren’t always found where we expect them to be.

As a former Peace Corps volunteer, my time in Ethiopia left me with a much deeper appreciation for life’s simple blessings—water, electricity, and most importantly, community. SubhanAllah, it taught me that true richness isn’t always found in having more, but in appreciating what we already have.

✨ Sometimes less really is more.

Happy Father’s Day to the daddy that sacrificed a lot of their time to support their family, the patient ones that offer advice when most needed, to the ones that check in and check on you, the ones that hold you when you cry or get hurt, the ones that care for your feeling and your thoughts, the ones making themselves available so you know they are there, the dads that are trying hard to improve themselves and give their family their best. Change can be exciting.

Change can be uncomfortable.

And sometimes, change is downright scary.

But fear isn’t always a sign that we’re making the wrong choice. Often, it’s a sign that we’re stepping beyond what is familiar and into something that has the potential to stretch us.

Growth rarely happens while staying in the comfort zone.

Some changes are big and life-altering. Others are small and almost unnoticed. Yet every step of courage—every choice to try, heal, learn, or begin again—becomes an opportunity to discover who Allah created us to be.

Fear may walk beside us, but it doesn’t have to decide our direction.

Asalaam Walaykum! In the Inner Circle for Muslim Women’s community we are talking about acts of kindness and one of them is self love and kindness to yourself! One takeaway that hit me hard was the beautiful line “Your life is a gift. Yours specifically. The fact that you exist, with your exact mix of experiences and people and strengths and quirks, is not an accident.” what a beautiful way to really see the beauty in every individual person along with yourself. I know loving oneself, being kind is the hardness thing since we learn to be so could selfless but it’s okay to actually be selfish for once. You can’t continue to give your best if the soil you sit in is dry, lacks nutrients and is stale. You must also be the one to change those circumstances by giving yourself love and compassion. Workshop week 2026 is coming to an end. Yesterday we had Ali teaching us some block printing. I didn’t have fabric ink or fabric to print on but I had fun playing with acrylic paint and paper. The most satisfying thing is discovering how fun it’s to carve in a potato and make a shape. Whoot whoot! Thank you for the class @3dottedpenguins #workshopweek2026 @theworkshopweek by @rmbr2smile
