Her ancestors are calling on her to stop The Second Burning…

All Davina wants is to finish her dissertation on the connection between Seventeenth-Century Witch Hysteria and modern witch intolerance to change the way the world perceives witch-kind. Inside Redthorn Manor, Davina is the reluctant high priestess of the Divine Moon Coven. She can’t seem to wield magic with authority. Now, with the rise of a Puritan revivalist group and their leader, Patrick Parris, and the group’s frequent live-streams of witch-burnings, she knows she must step up and protect her coven at all costs.

When one of her sisters is attacked outside of the coven’s apothecary, Davina uses her family’s grimoires and academic research skills to find a solution to keep them safe. During her research, and with the help of an old acquaintance, Nathan Graham, Davina learns of an ancient prophecy that she must fulfill to stop The Second Burning Times. Her ancestral lineage is the key to Davina accessing an ancient form of magic that will help her defeat Parris and his lackeys, the King James Brotherhood (KJB). Her destiny is written in the stars: she either defeats Parris or he burns every last witch.

Redthorn Manor is no longer a safe haven for the coven once Parris tries to burn it down. Davina can no longer ignore the prophecy—she must fight back! Saved by new allies, The Equinox, a secret coven of elemental sorcerers, and their sexy yet infuriating high priest, Cato, the Divine Moon Coven must leave Redthorn behind to help prepare Davina for her battle with Parris.

To accomplish her goal, she needs to access sorcery magic before Parris does. He’s already ten steps ahead, and the clock is ticking.

thank you to @d.m.million + @rmcarpus + @rrbooktours for this gifted copy & having me as part of the tour for The Coven of Redthorn Manor, a paranormal dark fantasy novel perfect for lovers of found family & reluctant heroines! The Coven of Redthorn Manor released on October 27 & with halloween right around the corner, there is no better time to find your new favorite dark, witchy read ✨

I absolutely loved Davina’s character & completely understand her reluctance at being the prophesied Queen of the Witches, especially when she is unsure of herself & her strengths. to me, it makes her feel more realistic & relatable because who among us would truly have 0 doubts about being a foretold savior? typically, I am not a fan of the modern day bleeding into fantasy stories, however, this book 100% changed my mind on that concept! the way the author portrayed the inclusion of social media + AI deep fakes being used as a weapon to spread fear & misinformation about witches hit me so hard because it is reminiscent of the behavior we see in the world on a daily basis. something that deeply resonated with me is how if magic was indeed part of our reality today, dealing with those threatened by it would also become part of it & this was an absolutely incredible eye-opening experience to what the world would look like if those individuals were being persecuted. I cannot recommend this story enough to anyone who loves darker fantasy with thrilling action & emotional development!

make sure to add this to your TBR if you love:
🖤 ancient prophecies
🖤 forbidden love
🖤 witches, sorcerers & guardian angels

Release Day Mini Review:

"The Coven of Redthorn Manor" by D.M. Million is a compelling story in the genre of dark fiction that combines academic aspirations, ancient magic, and growing peril. Young high priestess Davina needs to guard her Divine Moon Coven against Patrick Parris and the King James Brotherhood witch hunts of today. Ancient prophecies, strong supporters such as Cato of The Equinox, who is very attractive indeed, made this exciting destiny-driven story about sistership and empowerment truly captivating to read. I liked it a lot!

Qotd: Which trope is your favorite to read?

[paranormal dark fiction, witch coven, modern witch hunt, ancestral magic, high priestess, dark fantasy romance, occult mystery, elemental sorcerers, prophecy, strong heroine]

I am celebrating the release of The Coven of Redthorn Manor this week! How perfect is this for the spooky season?!

what's a pub day without a schmivaway? link in b!o 😘🎉winner announced Nov 2 📚📢🔥📅👑🤩 THE COVEN OF REDTHORN MANOR by @midnight_haus 's @d.m.million is live at midnight!! 😱🎉🎉🎉 by @rmcarpus

What if the Salem Witch Trials never truly ended—just evolved with the times? If that premise intrigues you, The Coven of Redthorn Manor by @d.m.million deserves a spot on your TBR.

Million delivers a lush, atmospheric gothic setting where modern day witchcraft collides with the fear, religious fervor, and persecution of centuries past. At the center is Davina, an academic and reluctant High Priestess of the Divine Moon Coven, who admittedly took me a little time to warm up to. Witches may exist in the modern world, but acceptance remains elusive, especially as a religious movement stokes old prejudices and turns public sentiment against them.

What I enjoyed most was Million’s seamless blending of history and the paranormal, creating a mystery steeped in tension and suspense without sacrificing pacing. Add an intriguing prophecy, and I was fully invested. The romantic tension and hint of a love triangle offered some lightness to the heavy setting.
