Happy Happy Birthday to my baby! Time is flying by and I treasure every single moment I get to spend with Camille! I’m so very proud of her accomplishments the last 4 years and what she’s been up to over the past three months.

In May, she graduated Magna Cum Laude from ASU with two degrees in Photography and Anthropology. Her final capstone project was absolutely incredible. It was centered on certain biological and historical implications within the athletic body combining sculpture, anthropology, photography with performance.

She spent the end of June and most of July in Africa. First in Morocco, helping rebuild houses and learning adobe-style construction techniques in Tagounite, a remote town 8 hours south by bus of any major city. From there, she was invited to join a group of ASU professors in Kenya, assisting with camera operations on a documentary supporting local acrobats.

The time she was away, felt like an eternity for this mommas heart and I’m so grateful she’s home safe! The experiences and life lessons she’s gained by traveling, serving, and exploring solo will continue to shape the person she is becoming. Always changing. Always growing.

Exploring a new arizona trail getting my daily dose of fresh air, sunshine, exercise, nature, and friends❤️ We even had the opportunity to watch a sky full of a long line of bird formations as we packed up from our hotel and headed to the trail! Absolutely amazing weekend adventure!

4th Annual New Year’s Day Hike to Flat Iron via Siphon Draw 🎉

Today (January 1st) was a perfect start to 2025—blue skies, sunshine, and a refreshing 70 degrees reminding us of the beauty that surrounds us when we are able to get outside and see life from a broader perspective without all of the distractions. There’s no place I’d rather be than out here with friends and family—laughing, supporting each other, and celebrating the gift of another year to explore, learn, and grow.

Another December favorite tradition is hiking Camelback to see Santa 🎅 This year was planned last minute so our group was a bit smaller but so much fun! We took Cholla Trail instead of Echo Trail so we could watch the sunrise and it was spectacular 🌅

Annual end of year Christmas hike and gift exchange was a blast! Fat Man’s pass and natural tunnel via Mormon trail at south mountain is the tradition followed by lunch at Sauce. This trail is so fun and is like an adult playground with all the boulders, tunnels, rock slides, and narrow passes😂 The favorite hiking items gift exchange is a fan favorite that we all look forward to “stealing” the best gifts!
