To Valdosta State University,

I want to start off by thanking you for giving me a place to grow as a person. I came into college with a narrow mindset and unrealistic expectations. However, you provided me with professors, advisors, and staff who helped me break those limitations. The bond that we created allowed them to push me in ways I never imagined. So thank you, truly. Your support has NEVER gone unnoticed.

Being at Valdosta State gave me the opportunity to experience necessary heartbreak, happiness, and accomplishments. From freshman year Mildany, who stayed locked in her room because of anxiety. To senior year Mildany who isn’t afraid of the unknown anymore. I embrace the uncertainty with confidence. That’s because I know that God is on my side and what is for me NO MAN can take away from me.

I also want to thank the EXCEPTIONAL friends I’ve made along the way. You all have picked me up more times than I can count. Even the connections I made that were sadly severed, thank you for teaching me lessons that I needed to learn. I especially want to thank the freshman year roommate and neighbor. Thank you for getting me out of my comfort zone and never giving up when I locked myself away. I couldn’t imagine college life without my two best friends. @ Sa’Nyya and Ashanti.

Life at VSU was nothing less than a rollercoaster, but if I had to do it again …
I’d get on the ride one more time.
