“Lo Que Queda | What Remains”

This piece is born from the connection between memories that fade and those that still persist.
When a disease like Alzheimer’s appears, memory fragments and changes: lived moments, imagined ones, and those that no longer exist intermingle, reinventing a new reality. From the outside, what is perceived is the degradation of that memory and the sense that the person we once knew is fading, though moments of lucidity still emerge.
The movement is inspired by neuronal connections and disconnections, by the way they activate, interrupt, and generate impulses that build — and also undo — memory.
What remains is the absence of everything we once were.
