Anyone can go fast on a machine in a straight line.
Come to the mountains and let’s see how fast you really are.
One single mistake up here, and you’ll literally fall to your doom.#mountains #bikelife #meditation #kawasaki #hope taken in Mt Donna Buang by @roach_650s

I had the privilege of riding alongside some of the legendary riders from Southeast Melbourne, all coming together for a great cause.

I’ve seen my fair share of racism—the ugly looks, the uncomfortable questions, and the quiet moments that remind you that some people will always fear what they don’t understand.
But I’d be lying if I said those moments define my experience.
For every ugly look, I’ve encountered countless smiles. For every uncomfortable question, there have been genuine conversations. For every moment that made me feel like an outsider, there have been people who reminded me that home isn’t always where you were born—it can also be where you find kindness, belonging, and a place to grow.

The world isn’t perfect, and neither is Australia. But despite the negativity I’ve encountered, I’ve experienced far more warmth, acceptance, and humanity than hatred.
For that, I’ll always be grateful to this beautiful land down under. 🇦🇺❤️#australia #downunder #bikelife #love #bekind taken in Mornington Peninsula by @roach_650s

It took a lot of courage to walk away from the expectations others had for me. I’m sorry, Mom, but I have to live my life on my own terms now. I can’t spend my life trying to become the person everyone else wants me to be. This is my life, and I’m choosing to live it for myself.#believe #bikelife #australia #meditation #kawasaki taken in Noojee, Victoria by @roach_650s

Unpopular opinion: Some so-called “expert riders” are nothing more than bullies on two wheels.

When I first started riding, I genuinely thought I could learn from more experienced riders. I expected them to guide newer riders, give constructive advice, and help us improve.

But after riding with some groups, I’ve realised that experience doesn’t automatically mean someone knows how to teach.

Some people seem to enjoy putting beginners down, riding ahead and leaving them behind when they’re struggling with corners, or making them feel inferior instead of actually helping them improve.

Being faster doesn’t make you a better rider. Being more experienced doesn’t make you a better teacher.

A truly experienced rider should remember what it was like to be a beginner and help others become better—not make them afraid to ask questions.

Ride fast if you want. Ride slow if you need to. But don’t forget that everyone started somewhere. 🏍️
