Cuéntame is back with Entangled, a 4 day access centered festival filled with a queer disabled lineup of performers, DJs and artist. This November 5 - 8 at the Queer Nightlife Community Center (@qncc.bk ) in Brooklyn we will ascend to new realms where festival planning starts with access. ATTN: Application Closed! Cuéntame is welcoming 2026 with the start of a DJ cohort for disabled and queer folks. This partnership with BAX will provide the basic knowledge of DJing for nightlife and will lead to the creation of an hour long DJ set to be showcased in October 2026. Monthly classes (+bonus classes) will take place between February - October 2026, where cohort participants will learn from practicing DJs with varying levels of expertise in experience , styles and technical knowledge. We’ve believe that nightlife has been inaccessible for to long, and by creating a cohort of disabled-queer DJs we can begin to disrupt the old ways and begin to build new places to dance. Vibrant Slowness: a rejuvenation space brought from the mind and care of @alex_dolores_ This space offered Facestrapped guests to find rest from the intense energy of the dancefloor. Watching folks interact on the bed, massage each other, color - it brought new meaning to connecting at the rave. Often times the club can be so focused on the dancing and music that it forgets to ask how did we get here? and how are we gathering? @alex_dolores_ intention to create a portal for slowness assisted our guests in fully engaging in what the night had to offer. I think nightlife has been sold to us as a place to get lost and disassociate. I want to see nightlife begin to consider itself as a place for connecting and care. Thank you for the beautiful space Alex! A crip garden of Eden located on the lowest level of Facestrapped. It is created with the intent to rejuvenate and relax from the loud and energetic environment of the dancefloor.
