Two years. It’s been two years since we had the most beautiful week of our lives in the most unbelievably-gorgeous country that we have ever seen. ♥️Our trip to Kyrgyzstan was special for so many reasons. It was Arjun’s and my first time visiting Central Asia, something that we had only dreamed about until then! We had travelled during the pandemic when restrictions were just easing out and we certainly learnt not to take travel for granted. In the one week that we were there, we saw canyons for the first time, cherry blossoms for the first time, experienced our first snow-fall, and went on our first of many long-distance hikes. We spent days in the raw wilderness, sometimes with not a single soul around us in hundred miles of radius!But what made this trip even more special were the beautiful souls we came across. ♥️ We happened to stay in a yurt up in the mountains with the sweetest, most innocent Kyrgyz mother-and-daughter duo, Chopon and Altynai. I remember falling really ill due to altitude sickness, and they stood by me and took care of me an entire day. We did not speak each other’s languages, but so much was understood through just our love and actions for each other. ♥️But none of these experiences would have been possible without you two - Azim and Elgiz. @azimtendo @elgizio You guys are just the best! 🤗🤗 We are so grateful to you for showing us your country and for making us fall in love not only with Kyrgyzstan, but just life in general. Arjun and I fondly remember your smiles and laughter, your kindness, your love for nature and the passion to live each day to the fullest. We miss you both, and we know we will see you soon one day, but until then we are going to hold on to these memories very tight :) by @roads.we.take

Before hitting the South of France, we made a quick pitstop for just 1.5 days in Paris. 🇫🇷 Here’s a guide to some of the things we did, but the city has left us wanting to revisit it and explore more! 1. Ditch Google Maps and simply WALK!: The streets and public transportation network of Paris makes it incredibly easy to get to anywhere and everywhere in the city. 🚶‍♀️🚊 We especially loved the 16th arrondisement, not only for its gorgeousness, but it was surprisingly quiet when compared to the hustle and bustle of the rest of the city. 👌🏽2. Indulge in French FOOD! : The food here is exquisite to say the least. Devour the croissants, hot chocolate, and the local food 🥐☕️ to your hearts content. @ajddemain & @vgpatisserie were our favs! 3. EIFFEL TOWER (who are we kidding!) : Simply walk around the 7th arrondisement, and along the many bridges on the Seine river. 4. SEINE RIVER CRUISE : A 1.5 hours ride that will leave your jaws dropping at all of the beauitful art-noveau facades and Parisian architecture. 🤩5. TROCADÉRO : Across the river from the Eiffel Tower, this public plaza has some of the best uninterrupted views of the monument. We particularly loved the street performances and music here, and sat here for hours. 🎶❤️6. LOUVRE MUSEUM :Stunning, to say the least! The massive TUILERIES garden in front, and the PLACE DE LA CONCORDE is a nice area to unwind, especially during sunset. 🌅7. Pick a monument of your choice (there are 100s in Paris!) and dedicate a few hours to it and the areas around! : - NOTRE DAME ⛪️ : We were staying close to the 4th arr, so we happened to stumble upon this beautiful cathedral, although a part of which was under renovation especially after the unfortunate fire incident that took place a few years ago. Nonetheless, the area around and the energy of the place is very fun & bustling! - ARC DE TRIOMPH : An iconic Parisian monument that we combined with our walks in the 16th arr. To sum it up, these are just a few of the hundreds of things that Paris has to offer! 😅 We would recommend you to explore the city at your own pace, and allow yourself to be surprised at every nook and corner as you go along. ☺️ by @roads.we.take

Our first time in Paris! 🇫🇷🤍 We briefly visited the city for two days before heading to the French Riviera in the south, and one thing we can tell for sure, is that even an entire lifetime would not be enough to fully explore Paris! From the art noveau architecture to museums (a whopping 130 museums in the city!), galleries, and the cutest pattisseries around street corners - Paris is a complete sensory feast for art, history, and food lovers like us! 😍On the other hand, it is also this very big, bustling city with considerably high poverty rates, and quite a few unclean areas - something that is often overlooked when people talk about Paris. Having said that, we definitely hope to visit Paris once again, hopefully soon, to explore and immerse in its culture all the more. 😊 For now, head to our stories/highlights to follow our spring adventures in France!#paris #parisexplore #france #paristravel #eiffeltower #francetourisme by @roads.we.take

Third time at the Seven Sisters Cliff in coastal England, and it never fails to amaze us! Hey there 👋 It’s been a while since we posted here! Things got superrr busy for us in the last couple of months and we took a little break from posting. Traveling took a backseat as well, but we made some short trips around the country whenever we got the chance. 😊Here’s taking you back to a cold, wintery December weekend in #Edinburgh. ❄️ We spent our anniversary here and totally fell in love with this magical medieval town that feels right out of a Harry Potter book! 🪄If we can share one travel tip for Edinburgh, then it is to simply explore the town by FOOT and stumble upon it’s beautiful castles, cathedrals, and museums. (We LOVED @nationalmuseumsscotland !)Ooo, and for foodies, we can’t recommend enough @luckypigscotland and @davidbannrestaurant ! We were just cozying next to our heater thinking that our weekend had come to an end, when suddenly we noticed snow falling outside our window! ❄️🌨 We started screaming like kids completely mesmerised by the sight - a thick white blanket of snow covering our street, crisp and cold air - we just knew we had to get out and enjoy our first snowfall in London! ☃️💙 by @roads.we.take

There’s a NEW VIDEO on our YouTube channel (and probably our favourite one yet) ! 🙋🏾🙋🏾‍♀️ This one’s a complete VLOG of our first wild camping expedition in the majestic Scottish Highlands! 🙌🏾 We had trekked the West Highland Way, which is supposed to be a 155 kilometres/96 miles route, but we managed to complete just half of it. Today we complete 6 months since we moved to London! Half a year ago we packed all our belongings and landed in a country we had never been to before - to start a new chapter not knowing what was in store for us. 😊The initial weeks were a ride of emotions. The excitement of a new lifestyle. The overwhelm of a new city and culture. Whether or not we could manage our finances. The anxieties of how our careers would shape. The homesickness and angst of being away from loved ones… 😔Slowly we settled in. We found a room for ourselves, built a routine (which we are yet to consistently follow 😆), got our cycles 🚲, started to explore and embrace the London life…And then I remember almost a month later while we were on a train returning from a weekend trip in the countryside back to London, I caught myself looking outside, randomly smiling and thinking……’Home…we are finally heading home’ 🥲♥️Six months later, HOME has been nothing but beautiful. Be it our experiences, the ups and down, the lessons learnt, our little adventures, new opportunities, the people we have met and and their loving support. ♥️ This is one chapter we are forever suuuuper grateful for. 🙏🏽Home has also made Arjun and I a stronger team. :) From being each other’s emotional support and constant cheerleaders, to biking partners, cooking buddies, work-from-home colleagues, and entertainment providers. 👫😁Whilst a single caption is not enough to describe our experience, here are a few photos in no particular order that we browsed through last night and felt sooo nostalgic about! In the meanwhile, I’m still on my quest of finding cheap ‘curry patta’ 🍃 AND Desi food that has not been adapted for the British palette 😂🙅‍♀️ by @roads.we.take
