One of my missions this summer was to find joy in playing golf again. Terrace Lakes did that for me. I play barefoot, I bring Millie most of the time and they have been very accepting of us. The people in the Tuesday night scramble crew helped me let go of alot of BS and just have fun. That was a big deal to me this summer. I missed out of the year end Horserace by a point and was an alternate in case nobody showed.... (everybody showed 🤣😅😶) but I'm excited to come back next year and hang out. ❤️🤘 by @roadtrip.ryan

It's OK to disappear into the mountains right? Living off $20 ain't so bad. I definitely need some time off after surgery in May, and needing to figure out the rest of my life. I know I am going to fish most of it so I might as well get to it. 😅😁 What month is it? Who. Cares. 😃 by @roadtrip.ryan

Went out with a local named Steve who is letting me use his spare truck while mine is in the shop. He told me he was a combat vet and recently got into fly fishing so, I offered to go out and show him a few things. I also gave him one of my custom nymph rods I build as a thank you for letting me borrow his truck. He was so stoked. Also, I found some sunglasses on the side of the river 😅😅🤣 which made me stoked by @roadtrip.ryan

Had an awesome time floating the Middle Fork with the Longhorn Peeps. Millie made smooth transitions to everyone's paddleboards and sort of rode a little bit with everyone. Slow and easy float. Been here like a month and this group of people have adopted me....Good times 😘😅 by @roadtrip.ryan

I've been on a journey to see where I belong and to find myself again. I came back home. Millie and I have been living out of a tent. We should be upgrading to a camper soon thanks to close friends. I have been looking for seasonal work after getting laid off until October. I made the decision to hit the road and take my chances. Don't have much cash, but I have a lot of friends. I forgot how many people I actually know. I have been grateful for the kindness and love I have found so far on the road. After a week and a half, it looks like I found my summer home. Shout out to Bob & Terry Dickson for being huge hookups for me. Can't wait to spend the summer here and start making a few bucks. 🤎 by @roadtrip.ryan

Found this old video from 2014. I made it for an article I wrote for Kype Magazine about Gila Trout. It was the first trip I had with Max as my dog and first fishing date I had with Judy. We spent the next 6 years traveling around, fishing, exploring and doing cool shit. by @roadtrip.ryan
