Well, we are now more than 2000! Welcome and let us introduce ourselves and what we do. This is Roadtrip, etc and we have a very special way to do things. LISBON STORY 📸 · October 15–19, 2026

When Roberto said Lisbon, we didn’t hesitate.

There’s a tension in this city that never fully resolves: three hundred years of history colliding with a place that keeps insisting on moving forward. The light off the Tagus hits sideways. The tiles hold weather like memory. It’s not a backdrop. It’s the subject.

So this time, no roadtrip. No changing hotels, no ticking off viewpoints. Just five days, one city, and a small group of photographers willing to stay long enough for Lisbon to stop performing and start revealing itself.

This is a photography trip in Lisbon built by photographers, for photographers: daily outings with Lucía & Roberto, honest image reviews woven into the evenings, boutique accommodation inside the city (not just visiting it), and a printed collective journal that lands in your hands months later.

Whether you’re starting to get to know your camera or a long time photographer, we meet you where you are.

🇺🇸: We get asked this all the time: “So… what exactly is Roadtrip, ETC.?” 👇
The short answer is in the slides. The longer one is harder to fit into a single sentence, because it’s less about what we do and more about how we travel.
We believe the camera is an excuse. An excuse to slow down, to look twice, to talk to the stranger, to take the long road instead of the fast one. To let a place change you a little before you leave it.
The camera is also a way. Our way of relating to the world. To places, to people, to nature. It’s the thread that connects us to what’s in front of us, and the reason we pay attention in the first place.
That’s what we build our trips around. Not itineraries to tick off, but spaces to notice things, and to come home with images that actually mean something to you.
If you’ve ever finished a trip and felt like the photos didn’t quite hold what you lived, you already understand what we do.

🇪🇸: Nos lo preguntan todo el rato: “¿Pero qué es exactamente Roadtrip, Etc.?” 👇
La respuesta corta está en las slides. La larga es más difícil de meter en una frase, porque no va tanto de qué hacemos, sino de cómo viajamos.
Creemos que la cámara es una excusa. Una excusa para ir más despacio, para mirar dos veces, para hablar con el desconocido, para coger el camino largo en vez del rápido. Para dejar que un lugar te cambie un poco antes de irte.
La cámara también es una forma de relacionarnos con el mundo. Con los lugares, con las personas, con la naturaleza. Es el hilo que nos conecta con lo que tenemos delante, y la razón por la que prestamos atención.
Sobre eso construimos nuestros viajes. No itinerarios para tachar, sino espacios para fijarte en las cosas, y para volver a casa con imágenes que de verdad significan algo para ti.
Si alguna vez has terminado un viaje sintiendo que las fotos no recogían del todo lo que viviste, ya entiendes lo que hacemos.

A qué esperas??? Nos vamos a Lisboa a vivirla como nunca. A descifrarla en clave visual. A comer bien, a cambiar de aire a bañarnos en su luz. Y a aprender. Porque en nuestros viajes se aprende siempre y mucho. De técnica fotográfica, de porque disparamos una u otra foto, de cómo hacer otras fotos que las que hacemos siempre y puedo decir que sobre todo, se aprende a amar la fotografía. Porque no sabemos hacerlo de otra manera. Ven, no te vas arrepentir. Este Octubre será nuestro, en Lisboa.

Intentamos fotografiar Japón en un solo viaje y nos dijo que no. ¡Así que vamos a volver!

Japón II: un viaje fotográfico del 11 al 19 de marzo de 2027.

Japón 2026 fue hermoso. Volvimos con miles de fotos y con una lista aún más grande de todas las que nos faltaron por hacer. Esta vez regresamos para entender mejor la mega ciudad, el paisaje, y a las personas que te hacen levantar la cámara antes de que tu mente lo decida…

Los templos de Sugimoto, la arquitectura de Tadao Ando, el Shinjuku de Moriyama…

Los trayectos en tren, el mar, los pueblos de pescadores, el taller artesanal de un impresor fotográfico y, especialmente, ese día a día japonés que solo espera ser fotografiado.

Este no es un viaje turístico. Es una exploración guiada en un grupo reducido, con acompañamiento creativo diario y mentorías para enseñarte a mirar de verdad en dónde estás.

Al finalizar el viaje editaremos y produciremos una publicación colectiva impresa, porque creemos firmemente en la fotografía sobre papel.

We tried to photograph Japan in one trip. Japan said no.

So we’re going back.
Japan II. A photography trip to Japan, March 11 to 19, 2027.

Japan 2026 was too vast. Too layered. Too beautiful.
We came home with thousands of frames and an even longer list of the ones we didn’t take.

This time we’re going to understand more.
The megacity. The landscape. The characters who make you lift the camera before you’ve even decided to.

Sugimoto’s temples. Tadao Ando’s spaces. Moriyama’s Shinjuku.
Trains, the sea, a fishermen’s town, the atelier of an artisanal photographic printer.
And the everyday Japanese life, waiting to be portrayed.

This is not a tourist trip. It’s a photographic journey, and we guide it ourselves.
Small group. Real time with each traveller.
Daily creative guidance. Mentoring that meets you where you are.
And at the end, a collective printed publication. Because we finish what we start, and we believe in photography on paper.

We get asked about our Midsommar trip in June, well… it has become sort of like a secret. Like something so dreamy that needs to be kept safeguarded. So, we’re not telling you what we did, but let’s start sharing how it felt.

We travel to question our everyday, we travel to discover new latitudes but also to find ourselves in new spaces. We drove from Copenhagen to Stockholm, we crossed magical bridges, we had a sauna session over a lake at midnight, we went to Bergman’s island… photographed the moon in an infinite sunset over the Baltic Sea, it was a dream come true. And the photos did not disappoint. But you know… the camera is just the excuse to live intensively for a few days.

Next destination: Lisbon Story. Oct 15-19, 2026
