Honestly, we will do anything for a decent brew with a decent view. And how’s that for a view?! .We took the 100Xtreme battery up to the top of the Aiguille du Midi in Chamonix, an altitude of 3842m. We hooked it up to a solar panel, a 1000W inverter and an induction hob to brew up a couple of delicious Lattes. Coffee has never tasted so good (until it froze in our mugs anyway). .This was all possible thanks to our new Xtreme Battery (and @BineZalohar, our awesome guide!) Let us tell you about a dog called Sandy!He might not be named that at all, by the people of Akyaka that look out for him, or the surf shop owner that feeds him. But back in 2020, while Steve was learning the ropes of kite surfinga dog kept me company on the beach everyday … & took to sleeping outside our beach hut…so we named him Sandy!He loved to play, but we had to say goodbye to our holiday, the beach & Sandy… for now?Coming back to our little kite surfing spot in 2022, we weren’t sure if we’d see him again. It was only when we went into the nearby town that we spotted him…Sitting on the bridge!He was a town boy now.More practice required on the kite board & another visit to the beach in 2023, and one special afternoon Sandy came to visit us…He stopped for a play, wandered down the beach & we didn’t see him again.3 years passed since we visited, and after a late night arrival & opting to stay in the town this time, we wandered out of our apartment bleary eyed on the first morning in search of coffee & we see Sandy on our road!And for breakfast & dinner everyday we’d go for a little walk with him…… & give him a fuss, ice cream & more fuss…… he still loves to play, but just needs more time for lie downsAnd he still loved to wait outside our little apartment He might be getting an old boy now…… but we can always hope to see you next time Sandy! 💔 by @roamervans

Who said vanlife had to be grublife?!It’s only 1000W but our little Wahl travel hairdryer is surprisingly powerful and plenty enough for us.With the 48V system in Taun Taun & a 6000W inverter… we could actually run 6 hairdryers at once. I don’t fancy sharing the van with another 5 hairy people mind!While we’ve been in the van over the Winter, Kate’s happy to have this little luxury. Even if her clean & dry hair is going under a helmet or bobble hat anyway 🙃 by @roamervans

Had the pleasure of making my version of Crispelle (Italian pancakes) at the Roamer stand using the ultimate offgrid electrical solution and a cheeky RidgeMonkey induction pan. My pancakes are filled with ham, ricotta and mozzarella with a ladle of tomato ragu and a generous dusting of Parmesan. Who wants the recipe? Anyone considering going gas free and full induction hob cooking? Being fulltime I wondered if it was possible. After purchasing 2 Roamer batteries and getting the wizards at BlueFix to fit and design my 24v setup I am seamlessly cooking every day on my induction hob, making coffee with my Nespresso machine and even popping things in my wonder oven. No gas and well chuffed.
