I met Abi in 2023 and Robyn early 2024. It quickly went from ‘Urm, I think you might live near me’ DM’s to cosy nights in, sleepovers, (one) sketchy snowy hikes and traumatic camping trips (iykyk). Life has been a lot more adventurous and wholesome with them in it ⛰️

Rolo and I may have taken a slight step back from Insta recently but we’ll forever be grateful for all the friendships made.

Ps. You know you and your dogs are similar when you stand in the same order for a photo without even meaning too 😎

Gosh, what a crazy couple of weeks!

I’m now back in work (although half days!) following surgery and it’s felt nice to get back into a semi-routine. Fingers crossed for some late Summer adventures 🤞🏼 by @roaming.withrolo

A little update from us ❤️‍🩹 sit tight, it’s a long one but don’t worry, Rolo’s fine!

Well 2026 isn’t shaping up to be the adventure filled year I was hoping for, and the start of my 30’s have been a little rocky to say the least! Our adventures will be on pause for a little bit. 😢

Last week I became a little under the weather which left me in extreme pain when sitting, standing, walking and eventually even lying down. It resulted in emergency surgery under general anaesthetic Friday morning. I’m now on a pretty speedy road to recovery but adventures are a little way away yet ⛰️

The cause? A pilonidal cyst (I’ll leave you to Google that! 😅). Mine developed quite quickly as I only first noticed a lump Saturday morning which had become much larger and painful Sunday night. Thankfully my Doctors surgery acted pretty quickly, saw me Tuesday (my first Drs appointment in 11 years minus smear tests!) and prescribed antibiotics. These didn’t work as we’d hoped, my cyst got worse, developing into an abscess. On Thursday I presented to them as an urgent appointment, sent to hospital and from there referred to the surgery team, having my surgery Friday morning. I was their first surgery of the day and I was home in my own bed by 1pm!! Thank you NHS. 🌈

Rolo’s having a sleepover at his grandpawrents for a couple days so I can focus on recovery ❤️‍🩹 He’s very much enjoying being in their fields, don’t think he’s missing me much 😅

Why am I giving TMI on my dogs Instagram? Spreading awareness that if you develop any new lumps, bumps or health issues please see your GP right away! And if their treatment (in my case the first course of antibiotics) doesn’t feel like it’s working, don’t be afraid to stand up for yourself!! Or cry on the phone to reception when their appointment system is down because you’re in so much pain 🤪

I’ll be taking it v slow for a few weeks before starting to build my fitness back up later this Summer. To anyone hiking mountains, I’ll be living through your insta 😍

Rolo’s 4 today!!

That tiny puppy we bought home has turned into the best adventure buddy. He’s so gentle, patient and loves nothing more than a cwtch under my chin or a suckle of his blanket 🥹

Fun fact that I don’t think I’ve ever shared 😅

Rolo knows he’ll get told off for barking on a walk, so he’s learnt to silent bark 😂 A lucky few have witnessed him do it, usually back chatting me 🤪

Haven’t stopped thinking about this hike since we did it 😍

Starting at Walna Scar you pretty immediately start climbing. And honestly? It’s my favourite ascent to date! There’s so much to look at, you’re focusing on where you’re stepping, and before you know it, trig point!

We ticked off two Wainwright’s, Old Man of Coniston and Brim Fell. I also highly recommend adding on Dow Crag! It added on approximately a mile onto the walk and was a fun one to tick off ⛰️

Once you start your descent and pass Goat’s Water there are a few sections that require a little scramble but over quickly (and manageable whilst still holding Rolo’s lead!). The last half a mile is a gentle gravel path back to the car, where we were greeted by an ice cream van 🍦

If you’re looking for a few Wainwright’s, lots of history and something a little more challenging, I cannot recommend this one enough!

Chapter 30 🎂

Celebrating the start of a new decade in the Lake District surrounded by some of my nearest and dearest 💕

My 20’s saw me graduate, start full-time employment, get through Covid, buy a house, get Rolo, get engaged and fall in love with the great outdoors!
