A Beautiful Fall Adventure 🍂❤️

Every trip I go on with Lauren is special. I’m thankful that God has blessed us with a shared love of experiencing His beautiful creation. This trip was full of wonderful views and sweet moments spent together. When I was taking these photos I was trying to calm my nerves, as later in this same day was when I proposed to her. The whole ride there was beautiful yet exhilarating, and I’m so thankful we had the opportunity to create these memories together on such a beautiful day. A Magical Morning ☀️

The most unexpected things can turn into incredible moments. This particular morning out in the mountains was no exception to that. We had already finished taking photos at the place we had planned to be and were returning home when we came around a bend in the road to this scene. I took one glance and knew immediately I had to stop to take pictures. A special thanks goes out to my Fiancée and her friends for posing for these… I love adding a human element to my landscape images and I’m so happy with how these came out.

Happy 250, America! 🇺🇸🎇

It is an unspeakable blessing to be an American. There is not a doubt in my mind that this is the greatest nation on this earth, and I am incredibly blessed to have had the opportunity to capture the wonders of its landscapes over the years. From the highest peaks of the Rockies to the ancient Appalachian Mountains, this nation has a beauty like no other. God’s glorious creation is all around us, what a blessing it is to live in such a place where we can have easy access to such beauty everywhere we go!

2025… WHAT A YEAR!

I can’t even begin to put words together to explain how grateful I am. This year was full of wonderful moments and beautiful memories that I’ll cherish forever. All credit goes to God for His providence and glory. I’m amazed to have had the opportunities to see some incredible places this year, but also to have experienced them alongside such wonderful people.

Winter brought beautiful snowy expeditions, traversing familiar landscapes that had transformed into something completely new. From hiking the trails on campus with my friend Andre, witnessing the James River Gorge from the sky with Gabe, freezing my rear end off on a majestic backpacking trip to an icy Fire Tower with AJ, and riding horseback through a winter wonderland in West Virginia with Ian and Alvy, this winter left me with stories I’ll tell for years to come.

Spring brought renewal with it, both to the landscape and to my perspective of the mountains around me. It’s hard seeing mountains barren from greenery, but seeing the slow rebirth of the landscape after a harsh winter was both invigorating and magical. When the leaves returned in their full glory, I got to go on a camping trip with my friend Sam, and we got to witness one of my favorite things, a cloud inversion. Spring also brought about a beautiful trip down to Southwest Virginia to visit Lauren, exploring the mountains and valleys that she calls home.

As Spring came to a close, and Summer warmed the world, I flew out to Colorado to visit my buddy Ian, who had been planning to propose to his girlfriend, now Fiancé, Maddie. I was thrilled with the opportunity to capture such a beautiful moment for them, and he couldn’t have picked a more beautiful place to propose! Our trip led us up one of Colorado’s most iconic off-road trails, leading to stunning views I couldn’t even fathom were real.

Following my return from Colorado, I joined my family on their trip to Portugal, and explored the island of Madeira with them. From the coast to the cliffs, it was an extraordinary place to witness, and we only tapped the surface of what there was to see.

Autumn in New York 🍂

As we close out the year, I realized I never posted any photos from one of my favorite fall trips I’ve ever taken. It was such a brilliant time getting to explore New York with my good friends Ryan and Will. The leaves were afire with color, and the views were unmatched. New York is such an incredibly beautiful state, and I’m thankful for this opportunity to visit again. I took so many photos, and videos too, and have only scratched the surface when it comes to showcasing what we experienced, but I hope this gives a taste into what it was like. From grand fire tower views to hidden forest paths, this trip was truly something special, and I’m already itching to get back…

As for my yearly recap post and video, that will be coming hopefully sometime soon. Life has kept me busy these past few weeks. I can’t wait to share more soon!

Conquering Imogene Pass - As Viewed from Above 👀🏔️

The majesty of Colorado is hard to put into words. What I can say is that this is by far one of the most breathtaking landscapes I have ever had the blessed opportunity to capture. I’m super thankful for this trip and the opportunity to get out into the wild and see a side of Colorado that many don’t get to. It is well worth the trip!

Conquering Imogene Pass 🏔️

Continuing to catch up on posting my favorite photos from this summer…

This trip out to Colorado was absolutely unforgettable, and of all the places I got to go, this was definitely the highlight. I was in complete awe as we slowly navigated the steep trail to the top of the pass, surrounded by insane views everywhere we went. It’s an adventure I don’t think I’ll ever forget, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to be out there to capture it! Special thanks to my friend @rodkimble04 for having me out to capture his proposal at one of the overlooks on this trail, the results which you can see over on my professional page: @germanicreative. His brother @jack_limburg was an awesome navigator and even let me take the wheel of Swampy for a bit to get a feel for what it’s like to hit a trail out west, much much different than many of the trails I’ve done in Appalachia.
