C.S. Lewis, the author of The Chronicles of Narnia, famously advocated for fairy tales and fantasy, believing they best convey deep truths. His most famous quote, “Some day you will be old enough to start reading fairy tales again” comes from a dedication to his goddaughter, reflecting his belief that adults need the wisdom and wonder found in imaginative literature taken in Perth, Western Australia by @roamsand_reads

We all get book hangovers and don’t know what to do with ourselves when we finish a soul destroying series.

If you were to ask me who my favourite character is from any book, any series, any fandom…My answer is always the same and will never change. It is Gandalf. He is the epitome of good. He was never sent to Middle Earth to be its savour, rather to encourage and guide others to find their own courage to do what they must do. His words of wisdom will resonate with me until the day I die, and I thank Tolkien every day for him 🩶🤍
