What’s a reading retreat? It’s a weekend where you get to focus on your one true love...reading! Spend time reading, relaxing, and doing fun activities planned by Good Girl Books!

How much does this cost? The price varies depending on which accommodation you choose and if you’re willing to share accommodations! There is a mix of cabins, yurts, lodge rooms, & safari tents, so there’s a price point for everyone in the group.

What’s included? Lodging! Meals (Dinner on Friday, 3 Meals on Saturday, Breakfast on Sunday)! A swag bag filled with goodies, including a limited edition Good Girl Getaway Shirt. Access to Good Girl Books programming including Restorative Yoga with Abbi, Dry Hairstyles (think braids) with Erin, Crafts led by your favorite Good Girls, Poppy Meet & Greet, S’mores by the fire and more! You will also be able to shop the truck which will have exclusive Good Girl Getaway themed merch & on-theme romance books. We will also have plenty of time to read and connect with other Good Girls.

The Smokies with kids 🌲🏕️

A little glamping, a little hiking, and a whole lot of time outside!

We spent a few days exploring the quieter side of the Smoky Mountains, and it was exactly our kind of family getaway. Creeks, waterfalls, wooded trails, campfires, and plenty of opportunities for the kids to just be kids.

A cozy yurt, beautiful grounds, and the perfect home base for exploring.

🥾 Kid-friendly adventures:
🌿 Cosby Nature Trail – An easy woodland walk, perfect for little legs.

💦 Cataract Falls – A short, family-friendly hike to a beautiful waterfall near Sugarlands Visitor Center.

🪨 Greenbrier & Little Pigeon River – Creek exploring, rock hopping, and hours of entertainment courtesy of Mother Nature.

No packed schedules, no elaborate attractions. Just fresh air, dirty shoes, and happy kids.

Tucked away in Cosby, Tennessee, @roamstead is the kind of place that makes you want to settle in and soak up the Smokies. 🌲⛰️

Two days at @roamstead , and once again I’m reminded why we love this place so much. 🤍

There’s just something about being here that makes us slow down. The kids can run around, explore, swim, ride bikes, and just be kids… while we get to actually breathe, sit around the fire, and enjoy being together without feeling like we need to be somewhere else.

We’ve stayed here multiple times, and somehow every time we come back, it feels a little more special. It’s camping, but a little more comfortable. It’s an adventure, but without having to plan every second of the day.
