On the occasion of #WorldVFXDay, our teams are happy to share their work on the @netflixnordic film 𝐓𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐥 𝟐.

Showcasing the studio’s work on large scale environments, detailed creature animation and complex FX, the team rebuilt the ski resort from drone plates, integrated the Trolls and the destruction of the Stavkroa, developed full CG helicopter interactions and created seamless digital doubles to ensure continuity between on set and CG shots.

Close collaboration with @roaruthaug, @syberg and @mikaelwindelin allowed us to respect the visual language of the first film while expanding its scale and intensity.

This project reflects the talent and expertise of our supervisors and leads, including VFX Supervisor Cyrille Bonjean, CG Supervisor Boris Kaufmann, Compositing Supervisor Romain Bavent, Environment Supervisor Christophe Courgeau, Environment Lead Tristan Février, Animation Supervisor Aurore Rousset, Asset Supervisors Philippe Zozor and André Monteiro, Crowd Supervisor Louis Maëro, CFX Supervisor Balthazar Sahel, FX Supervisor Benjamin Saurine and Lighting Supervisor Julien HAILLOT, supported by Executive Producer Hélène Vanovre, VFX Producer Cyprien Andronikof and VFX Production Manager Zoe Karadi.

Huge surprise today — @einarmartinsenart , the brilliant concept artist behind our trolls, showed up with this incredible oil painting of Jotun (aka Megatroll, as Andreas calls him) from TROLL2. Seeing his own design come to life like this is just unreal. Thank you so much for the coolest gift and for the creative journey we’ve shared. by @roaruthaug

That’s a wrap on TROLL2! Thank you so much to our crews in Norway and Hungary for all your hard work and dedication. And to our wonderful cast, whom I feel so lucky to go on this journey with. Also, a big thank you to @netflixnordic for your support in continuing this adventure and expanding our Troll universe. And last but not least, to our families holding the fort at home while we’re away doing what we love. Can’t wait to share what we have made! taken in Budapest, Hungary by @roaruthaug
