Black. Caribbean. Latin American.

Take the time to learn about Caribbean communities you may not know about;

Roatan and The Bay Islands, Honduras 🇭🇳
Limon, Costa Rica 🇨🇷
Colon, Panama 🇵🇦
Bluefields, Nicaragua 🇳🇮
San Andres, Colombia 🇨🇴

Make me a Caribbean girl in EVERY LIFE!!

One of my favorite things about Miami carnival is the space it creates for unity.

There is a significant difference between someone being excited to see we share the same flag or language instead of someone being shocked that you’re black with a Honduras, Nicaragua, Cuban, Puerto Rican flag.

Pointing at each other when we see one another with our flags, because we are happy to see our own people in these spaces.

My whole life the only space I safely fit into was Caribbean spaces. People who understand my accent, the food I enjoy, the music I love. People who understood what I meant when I said, “I wanna go home”.

Latin America has black people. Latin America has English/Kriol speaking communities who have cultures apart from that of the Latino culture of their respective countries. Latin America has CARIBBEAN PEOPLE.

My people it was beautiful for me to feel so much representation this year. Keep taking up spaces, keep teaching about our existence, cultures, history, and significance.

If you know me, you know I love Halloween, but not scary horrifying, I’m a whimsical Halloween girlie 🧙🏾‍♀️

A Girls’ Night at @rooftopcinemaclub was exactly how I I wanted my niece to experience this spellbinding night with me!

Practical Magic is one of my favorite movies and I loved sharing this experience with her.

Practical Magic is a beloved ‘90s classic we enjoyed under the stars, with a Tia-Niece bond, witchy charm, and just the right amount of spooky magic 🎃👻 by @roatansfinest

It is in FACT difficult for black non Spanish speakers to find employment in Miami because of racism and discrimination.

This is not a tough conversation for me because I’ve seen it first hand. It is an uncomfortable conversation that a lot of people try to avoid having or simply don’t care because it doesn’t affect them since it’s not directed to them or their demographic.

I was doing double the work taking time to translate because I was the token black girl that got hired cause I spoke Spanish. It was almost like expected of me because I should be grateful to have been hired in the first place. Working between two non black employees who didn’t speak the same language. When if they just hired black non Spanish speakers, front desk agents who didn’t speak Spanish would have who to communicate with.

I remember I had a nonblack manager at the front desk with me who spoke no Spanish. And every Spanish speaking employee or persons looking for employment would go straight to him. He’d look to me to translate and after a while I realized how ridiculous that had become.

Thank you for opening this door for me to join you to take up space as Afro Latinas 🇭🇳🇩🇴! @abbyjahaira te adoro mami, you deserve every beautiful thing and energy under the sun! Mi BabyWOW!! 🥹🌸✨

I tagged along with Abby to see La Bichota @karolg at her Viajando Por El Mundo Tropitour en Miami! 🌺🌸🌼

I learned about what @concorafoundation and Karol G do for women in our community. Which as someone who has a non profit of her own was completely moved. Thank you guys so much for the insight, taking the time to talk to us and explain your mission.🌺

They gave us floor seats and we were literally catching our breaths cause Karol G is exactly who she thinks she is! ❤️‍🔥

Then we got to visit the @amika suite and baby, the suite was filled with vibes and chuleriaaaaa! Thank you guys so much for having me and for extending a goodie bag to me as well! Can’t wait for wash day this weekend! 💘🌺🌸

This was most exciting for the little girl inside who grew up wanting to just be inside of a @claires 💜✨

A smooth, quick and painless way to re-open my second piercing which I’ve been wanting back for over a year now!

I got invited to an exclusive piercing party celebrating the relaunch of Claire’s iconic piercing experience! It’s a new era of piercing and if you loved Claire’s before, you’re going to obsess over them now!

Got to meet @thatmodernlife who hosted this event and girl, you’re a rockstar! Amazing meeting you 🌸✨

Two things I love real bad: a quality hassle free wig and SELENA!

@luvmehair come get your baddie chain baby! This glue-less ready to go silky straight pre-styled unit is the love of my life!! 💜🍂

I’m no hair guru and I’m always running late so nothing screams my name more than a low maintenance ready to go HD lace 😮‍💨
