Training through New York winter is hard - exploring a new city by foot is fun.
Running @lamarathon again was special - drinking the nights before was irresponsible.
One year into living in this city - why not celebrate by running another one?

NYC marathon will be number 3 - if you want to support me, I’m running it with @teamforkids . Donate at my link in bio! by @rob.dong

Japan 🇯🇵

Land of beauty, misery, order, chaos, and so many noodles. A well-oiled-machine, just like their trains. You could spend hours watching those things go choo.

Things are so perfect here it doesn’t feel real. Cars perfectly spaced and never honk. Pedestrians hook 90° turns and never cut lines. All these cyclists spawning at 2am just minding their own business. Like where are you going?? We live in a video game. With some spectacular graphics.

Pubs only fit 6, so drink quickly. One of each highball please, and a wiener. Or just go to an all you can drink bar. That exists somehow. Men in suits are stumbling outside. Their boss said you must join him at the host club, or you’re fired. Kids are smoking cigarettes, in the restaurant. Maybe we ask for one. Let’s get lost in the city.

One year ago today, I went on a 3 mile run for the first time ever. Had me bent over huffing and puffing.

Today, I get to watch myself hoot and holler over 26 miles at the @lamarathon like a fool at a big party.

Yeah that was fun, will for sureee be doing it again 🤌
(Except for the 26 mile Fireball. Checked that off the list, it was funny, probably don’t need to feel that ever again) by @rob.dong
