Is the DJI Osmo 3 still a good camera in 2026?

Absolutely.

This little camera went viral when it came out, and honestly, it still holds up.

For everyday content, travel, POV shots, behind-the-scenes, Reels, TikToks and YouTube B-roll, you can still get seriously good footage without having the newest camera.

My go-to settings:

🎥 4K 30fps for most shots
🎥 4K 60fps for smoother motion or slow motion
🎨 D-Log M when I’m planning to color grade
☀️ 1/60 shutter at 30fps
☀️ 1/120 shutter at 60fps

The biggest advantage? It’s tiny, fast and easy to carry. You’re far more likely to actually have it with you and use it.

New camera ≠ automatically better content.

I’ve been carrying the Torras Ostand Q3 Air case for a little while now, and what I like most is that it just fits into my day without me thinking about it. The built-in stand is the part I actually use. I prop my phone up when I’m editing, checking footage, or watching something while I eat, and it holds without me having to hunt for a surface or something to lean it on.

It feels solid in the hand, it doesn’t add a bunch of bulk, and it looks clean. That’s really all I want from a case I’m going to have on me every day.

All of it.

The rugged coastlines. The tiny fishing towns. The old buildings. The fog rolling across the water. The sunsets that make you pull the truck over just to get a photo.

I’ve travelled a lot of places, but there’s something about Newfoundland that never gets old.

You can drive the same road a hundred times and somehow still find something worth stopping for.

Spotted this absolute beauty sitting outside the fire hall while leaving Brigus the other day.

This is the Brigus Volunteer Fire Department’s vintage Dodge L600 pumper, built by Thibault Fire Engines in Quebec and delivered to Brigus around 1970.

This wasn’t brought in as some vintage showpiece either. It actually served the community for decades and, more than 50 years later, is still kept by the department as their parade truck.

Every time I visit, I wish I had more time to explore.

Little shops, cafés and old homes there’s something new around every corner. It’s easily one of my favourite places to visit on the Avalon. by @rob.dryburgh

The end of August in St John’s.

One of my favourite spots to fly 🚁 - Petty Harbour, NL.

Petty Harbour is one of Newfoundland’s oldest fishing communities, with boats using this harbour since the 1500s. It was also home to Newfoundland’s first hydroelectric generating station, and today it’s still a busy working fishing village.

It’s also become a popular filming location, appearing in productions like Orca, Aquaman, and Netflix’s upcoming series Below.

If you’re exploring Newfoundland, make time for Petty Harbour. Whether you’re a photographer, videographer, or just out for a drive, it’s well worth the stop.
