Still pinching that we ticked off another big bucket list spot this weekend. I’m so grateful that someone like @cobzzy shares such a love for Star Wars who is up for going on little adventures to find these places together making the mems. Seville itself is such a gorgeous city and I’m glad we got to go off the grid for a few days to refresh and recharge from the chaos of life, also pride was on and the money we’d spend getting fucked up there, we could spend making these memories instead 🤷🏼‍♂️. Ticked off a new Star Wars Location with my @cobzzy today! Been wanting to visit since they announced it was filming back in 2021 love that it’s only an hour and a half away from home. “I am no Jedi.”

Twilight of the Apprentice Ahsoka Tano portrait, inspired by the Rebels Season 2 finale.

The showdown with Darth Vader is such an iconic moment, and I’ve wanted to draw Ahsoka in this scene for some time now. I really enjoyed working on this one and bringing the live-action version of the character into the scene.

A tribute to one of my favourite artists, Iain McCaig. ✨

I finally got Photoshop working again on my laptop, which means I can digital paint again, and I’m buzzzing!

For the past month or so, I’ve really struggled to find the motivation. I’ve felt a little burnt out from work and life in general. Then last week once I got my computer back to working order, to try and get out of that hump I started thinking about what inspired me most when I was a little kid, and my mind immediately went back to Iain McCaig’s incredible concept art for Queen Amidala when the Star Wars films first came out.
His designs had such a huge impact on me growing up. I was completely fascinated by them, and this particular concept was always one of my favourites. I used to draw it all the time when I was younger, so it felt fitting to return to it now, like revisiting an old source of inspiration.

This piece is my recreation of one of my favourite McCaig designs, and I think it was exactly the kickstart I needed to get back into the creative flow after such a long period of feeling burnt out.

Sometimes you need to go back to the things that made you fall in love with creating in the first place. 🤍💛🤍💛

One of my favourite Jedi, Master T’ra Saa the Neti tree lady 🌿🌱🌳 only recently discovered she is canon again in Star Wars featured very briefly as a memory in the 2024 novel Mace Windu Glass Abyss. Would love to see her pop up again more prominently in future projects, such an underrated often forgotten about Jedi. She should have been included in the High republic at least. Tropical Mermaid remake. I’ve Fallen down a human evolution rabbit hole in the past week, and wanted to paint what’s thought to be our common ancestor, it’s supposed to be Homo heidelbergensis, one of the ancient humans that eventually evolved into us. They ranged across Africa, Europe, and Asia many many moons ago 🦣 hope you like.
