It’s been a while since I’ve shared much on here, and as I work toward changes in both life and business, it feels like a good time to reintroduce someone who’s been quietly alongside me through all of it.

This is Cork aka Biko aka Muttley.

What started as wanting my own dog, became helping out with friends, and eventually a possible rescue. What was some of the worst timing ended up being the beginning of my own rescue, and easily the most meaningful relationship in my life.

He’s been there through career changes, cross-country moves, uncertainty, growth, long days behind the chair, and many adventures together.

Owning a dog has taught me more than I expected. About responsibility, routine, slowing down, and paying attention to the simple things that make life meaningful, like being a steward to someone that can never truly repay you.

Many of my clients already know Cork well, and as I begin building the next chapter of my business, he’ll continue to be part of the experience. Whether he’s greeting visitors, napping nearby, or simply reminding me to take a break, he’s become as much a part of the shop as I am.

I’m grateful for the lessons, the companionship, his endless enthusiasm for walks, and giving me a reason when nothing else can.

I’m very excited to roll out the next steps in my plans and want to thank all my clients, who have become the family and community I’ve always looked to be surrounded by. @palomography_ has been helpful with the process of making my business visible and caught some good vibe. I will share more soon! taken in Thousand Oaks, California by @rob.thousandoaksbarber

The time we give and the time we take, two very powerful sides the coin. Sometimes an issue gets so drawn out that its destructive, sometimes time is the right thing to bring healing. Moral of the story.... DON'T PUT IT OFF, ITS TIME FOR A HAIRCUT!!
