POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

“Fuck your burn” Burning Man you were tough after a perfect 2024 but everyone stepped up.

We rolled in days late after the weather shut the gates, spent the night in the RV in a Walmart carpark and chugged through a 7 hour line from gravel to gate. Somehow it made the anticipation sweeter.

Our new camp of 51 from Australia, Germany, Israel, Russia and Hawaii came together like a family. We saw more sunsets and sunrises, we worked, we gifted, we meditated and we laughed until our sides ached at the absurdity of life.

This year, we placed Magic’s tribute in the Temple alongside family. She gave us the sign we’d been waiting for, a reminder of why we came and why we returned.

Burning Man isn’t a festival. It’s one of the most unique social gatherings on the planet, a place that holds a mirror to who we are, what we’ve lost and what we’re becoming.

This sign sums it up. “Fuck this shit. See you next year.” by @rob_lane_

This tiny but mighty little lioness left us last week. She stayed with us for almost a year since Pickle passed, while missing her big sister. Magic had the biggest heart and what a transformation, she went from being the runt of the litter, afraid of her own shadow, to completely bossing it. From London to NYC to LA with many trips and hotels in between, she was always there showing unconditional love and making us laugh. Magic was magic and let’s remember her that way 🐶 ✨ 🦁 🌈 @pickleandmagicnycla by @rob_lane_

We finally made it to Burning Man and survived for 7 days. It was incredible! 🤯 The people, their kindness and generosity, the ingenuity and amazing art. The radical survival and spirit of Burning Man. Black Rock City and its camps are special and long may it continue. Who’s up for making an art car next year?👽#burnerforlife #rvlife by @rob_lane_

Our beautiful pup angel Pickle crossed over the Rainbow Bridge on Saturday. She was such a sweet, silly and mischievous dog who brought pure joy to everyone. Travelled the world and retired in LA reaching the grand old age of 16. It was heartbreaking to see her deteriorate over the last year but it was just her body failing. Her naughty spirit held on and now she’s flying around with unlimited salmon and tuna. We miss you Pick 🐶🌈 💚 by @rob_lane_

New York is Hip Hop and Hip Hop is New York. A city that completely embodies the hustle and entrepreneurial spirit of the people who have made it home. A place that welcomes everybody.

I’ve been a regular in New York since I was a teen and it gave me a unique perspective of the world. Make it here and you really can make it anywhere.

New York and its boroughs pulled out all the stops to celebrate 50 years of Hip Hop. From events and block parties to lighting the Empire State and the Yankees stadium mega concert. Hip Hop is a force for good which brings a lot of joy and a voice to the people.

Please support the Hip Hop museum @uhhmuseum they are building in the Bronx which relies on donations to preserve the culture for another 50+ years. @hiphop50 @massappeal @rockthebells @harlemweek @nygov @nyctourism #hiphop50 #hiphop50live by @rob_lane_
