The past few weeks I’ve had the honour of meeting up with our social media, media and communications teams across some of our cities, doing social media training and leadership sessions. It’s been incredible to see such talent and meet our dedicated team members who are so willing to volunteer their time to serve at Kingdomcity.

We spent time talking about the “why behind the what”, teaching social media best practices, content strategy and how to capture what’s happening in the room and communicate that online in an authentic way. We’ve also been discovering new ways to communicate the same message, especially with new ai tools making content creation, storytelling and digital comms faster and easier.

This next season at Kingdomcity is multiplication and overflow, with more than 10 new countries being added this year alone and already a list of more coming for next year… it’s such an exciting time to be part of what God is doing.

6 lessons from 6 months of marriage.

1. It’s ok to wait. God prepared and positioned us in the waiting.
2. Be authentic in vulnerability. Don’t try impress or pretend - on our wedding day we committed to standing side by side through anything.
3. Never underestimate the power of a sweet treat. Late night Yo-Chi or a surprise gift goes a long way. Some of the ‘cheapest’ gifts have been the most impacting because of the thought and care behind the act.
4. Before I proposed to Becky I read somewhere that you know they’re the right person if you know they would care for you through the death of a loved one. Losing my dad was one of the toughest things but having her by my side sheltered me through the storm.
5. Daily discipline of devotion. I’m devoted in my life for Becky - no doubt - but we are devoted together in growing our faith in Christ, deepening our conviction, and constantly sharpening each other through daily prayer and studying the Bible together.
6. Communication is key. Love letters, text messages, phone calls and apologies - reminding my best friend I love her each day!

Just come back from visiting our church with Ps Mark & Jemima in southern and central Africa. What God is doing in @kingdomcity is just incredible! To see it first hand is an amazing honour. Growth in every area and exciting developments on the horizon for every city.

The man in the second photo is Ps David Mathe, our pastor in Burundi 🇧🇮 known as the world’s poorest country. Truly a man chosen by God. When he was young he was living in the Congo when rebels broke into his house killing both him and his father. A machete to the neck. He was pronounced dead at the scene, his mother started praying - doctors took him to the hospital where he regained consciousness and stayed in for 10 days being released after many surgeries - going in and out of consciousness and his spirit leaving and returning to his body multiple times. He left hospital and fled to Burundi where he later got married and built a new life having 6 children and started a church. An amazing testimony. taken in Johannesburg, South Africa by @robahern
