It's a sad day learning of the passing of Yayoi Kusama. I'm happy she became successful doing what she loved to do 🙏 by @robbartlett13

Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, in Melbourne last night, put on a great concert! It was a little hard to see, from a distance but the trade off, was that the sound from here was excellent!
They did a lot of newer songs and also older songs, such as, Tupelo, The Weeping Song, Red Right Hand, Henry Lee, The Mercy Seat! And of course this song, From Here To Eternity, which was originally from the 1983/84 album "From Here To Eternity"
In a recent magazine article Nick said From Here To Eternity was always included in their concerts for a very good reason, my thoughts are, that it's such a great song! taken in Alexandra Gardens, Melbourne by @robbartlett13

Rental Family
Dir: Hikari
DOP: Takuro Ishizaka
Starring: Brendan Fraser, Mari Yamamoto, Takehiro Hira, Shannon Gorman, Akira Emoto, Paolo Andrea Di, Gan Furukawa, Takao Kin, Sei Matobu, Fumiya Kimura.
Rental Family is a very enjoyable movie, Brendan Fraser plays an out of acting work, actor, who does different jobs in Tokyo to get by! Set mainly in Tokyo and beautifully shot by DOP Takuro Ishizaka!
Rental Family flows along with real life situations, some funny, some sad and some dramatic but none offensive!
It's not just enjoyable but very entertaining and a pleasure to watch! by @robbartlett13

I've had the vinyl (LP) of this great soundtrack for years, got ripped off trying to purchase a cd version, but now I have it on CD 👍
I WAS A TEENAGE ZOMBIE was released on video in approx. 1987 a B - Grade movie, made by the look of it by a group of friends! It's quite good and funny!
The soundtrack features the title track by The Fleshtones, listen on YouTube! It's not unfortunately available on the IG playlist!
Every song is really good, American New Wave, Punk Rock, so I'll do a tracklist.
1. The Fleshtones: I was a Teenage Zombie
2. The Del Fuegos: Have You Forgotten
3. The DB'S: Neverland
4. The Dream Syndicate: Halloween
5: Violent Femmes: Good Feeling
6. The Waitresses: I Know What Boys Like
7: The Smithereens: Time And Time Again
8: Los Lobos: Why Do You Do
9: Alex Chilton: Stuff
10: Ben Vaughan Group: Vibrato In The Grotto
11: Bob Pfeiffer: Nobody Knows Where Love Goes taken in Keilor East, Victoria by @robbartlett13

Kokuho 'National Treasure'
Dir: Lee Sang-il
Actors: Ken Watanabe as Hanjiro Hanai, Ryo Yoshizawa as Kikou and Ryusei Yokohama as Hanai's son Shunsuke.
Kokuho is about two young boys who become Kabuki performers.
It starts in 1964, where Hanjiro attends a party and sees Kikou, the son of a Yakuza boss perform.
The movie faithfully creates the times as the two boys grow and mature and it is a great movie! by @robbartlett13

The Japanese Film Festival is on in Melbourne!
BUSHIDO, dir, Kazuya Shiraishi. A story about a cast out Samurai, Kakunoshin Yanagida, played by Tsuyoshi Kusanagi. Wrongfully accused of a crime, cast out and stripped of his Samurai status and living in a Edo tenement with his supportive daughter Okinu, played by Kaya Kiyohara! His only solace is playing the board game Go!
This is an excellent movie, extremely well acted and directed!
Called Sir Yanagida, he is respected and makes friends, who support him, mainly because he has an honourable nature and his daughter is a friend of local brothel madame in Yoshiwara, who oddly treats her like a daughter.
The question is, can he retrieve his honour!
This really is a first class movie, where I found that Bushido also is about making sensible decisions!
I'm hoping more top self Samurai movies are produced by @robbartlett13
