UPDATE: After multiple versions, I’m still fighting this piece. However,I think I’m finally happy with it to leave it alone. SLIDE 4: Let me know if you like any of the other versions? The others didn’t have enough “oomph” for me. They were serene, but kinda clunky. Will I ever leave this piece?
.
S/O the people that helped with the art direction on this one. Mentor: @zacretz / My Sister: @yana.33.3 / My friend @pascal_massimo / and my day one @laskospace could not have done it without bouncing ideas and comps with others!!

Village Merchant 👨‍🌾 (Work for @pascal_massimo ‘s SONATA project). ⭐️ Favorite Slide? It was a pleasure coming up with this rough around the edges, but well meaning merchant. Idk if he’ll end up in the final project, but it was fun to come up with a non-main character design.
.
What do you think about this guy? I don’t have a name for him yet, and I’d like to do a sheet of him interacting with others and doing simple stuff like fishing or gardening. What can you see him doing? (Maybe ill draw it)

“Contaminated” 🤢 (11” x 11”) The food can’t be trusted huh? 🫩 ➡️SWIPE➡️: Last slide reveals how I abused the pattern stamp tool on photoshop to start this piece off.
.
NOTES: I painted the initial paint sketch in a haze at 2-3am. Then I took a few hours today to finish it up. I’ve been having a hard time balancing hard vs lost edges STILL. I either have too much in hte haze with no hard edges, or it’s all fucking HARD and TEXTURED (Pause). I think this came out decent enough tho. Let me know what you think!

“It’s up to you” 🔥🔵 (6.5in x 3.5in) Credits: My sister @yana.33.3 for doing some paint overs while i played Rivals. I just wanted an excuse to draw another dinosaur basically.
.
NOTES: Ive just been trying to do more paintings so I can figure out my process a little better. The story is hopefully clear and im realizing now this little red cap and cape guy might have a backstory lol

🪰“Somethingz Wrong”🪰 (17in x 7in) This is a short story set in my world called “FURAI.” In this part, a ronin notices that recent struggle took place on the outskirts of Acorn Town. What happens next? 🫪 Idk you tell me what you think!
