After having a full day to digest the tragic news I still can’t believe what happened. Kobe Bryant meant so much to me; he was the reason I fell in love with the game when I was 8 years old. Even more heart wrenching is his daughter, Gianna, who was only 13 years old was also on the helicopter along with 7 other souls that were all taken too soon. Sending love to all the families involved🙏🏻.

Kobe’s dedication to greatness and excellence was something that I and so many others admired about Kobe. His “Mamba Mentality” approach to the game separated him from his peers. That intense focus and killer instinct made him successful on and off the court. For me Mamba Mentality meant to never give up no matter the obstacles in your way, strive to be the best version of yourself, and to be relentless in your path to achieving what you want.
.
Kobe you were a huge part of my life and meant so much to me. Thank you for all the dunks, the crazy buzzer beaters, and the drive to inspire the future generation. You were taken too soon. Mamba out forever ✌🏻🐍 #kobebryant #twentyfourever #mambamentality by @robbieg117

I’m not one to brag, but I’m going to let today be an exception. My lil bro graduated from UCSB today with two of the highest marks you can receive as an undergrad. He received College Honors which means that he graduated with a 3.85 GPA or higher. The second mark, Highest Honors, is rewarded to those that are in the 2.5 percent of his graduating class. On top of all that my brother completed a research project that he had worked on for two years and is going to have his name published in a paper this summer. It’s unbelievable what he achieved in his 4 years at UCSB. You’re dedication, resilience, discipline, and hard work is an inspiration to us all. Whatever path you choose to follow, I know success will follow. I’m getting emotional typing this up so I think I’m just going to wrap this up.

The play I’m in, “Whoopsie Doopsie”, is going to have its last 2 shows on March 2nd and March 3rd. Whoopsie Doopsie has gotten positive reviews from local critics in the NoHo area. And general audience members have told me personally how important this show was in handling some politically controversial topics. I’m honored to be in a production that have touched so many people and made a lasting impact on the viewers. As an artist, I strive to be in work that is meaningful and forces others to think about the world around them. As artists we should all aim to do this, to make a positive impact on those viewing our work.

Please come join us on our final weekend and see why audience and critics have enjoyed this “risqué humor with comic malapropisms” (Mary Mallory, Tolucan Times). You can get tickets at thegrouprep.com or click the link in my bio.
