Self Knowledge, environmental restoration, social justice, cultural preservation merge in the practice of ecological restorative justice. Opening hearts and minds to a natural order of kindness, respect and care.

The Forest has enlightened me, guides me to be a caregiver, and a designer of opportunities for restoration.

“ecological restorative justice — one that argues that harm to people, communities, and the environment are interconnected, and that repairing one can contribute to repairing the others. The vision is for an entirely different framework of justice that prioritizes healing and return to wholeness of all who and all that have been harmed, by centering the natural.” Ghani Songster

Restorative Justice:

“What is an offender? It is someone who shows little regard for right relationships. That person has little respect for others. Navajos say of such a person, ‘He act as if he has no relatives.’ So, what do you do when someone acts as if they have no relatives? You bring in the relatives.” - Chief Justice Yazzie of the Navajo tribe

“Here’s a short video on Restorative Justice (RJ). Danielle Sered, herself a survivor of violent crime, runs a NYC non-profit, Common Justice. I highly recommend her book, “Until We Reckon” Chris Little

Happy birthday @ndansielvis - this was his party 3 years ago celebrating big to make up for not having any birthday parties as a child growing up in Dumbo, a remote village in NW Cameroon. That’s where Unite for Health is working now. We helped the community raise the roof of a Maternal Mini-Clinic for all the mamas and babies. Please donate for Elvis’ birthday to finish the construction…at link in bio @unite4health HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Elvis!! Your enduring love for vulnerable mothers in your childhood home is a magnificent thing to witness. #globalhealth #maternalhealth #childrenshealth #cameroon #shaafestival by @robbinstucker
