Steak.

Reverse sear on the @masterbuilteu kamado. Would usually sear a tomahawk dirty, but just used the cast iron half griddle this time.

Festive roast potatoes poutine (toasties, cheese, gravy), root vegetable gratin, smoked giant pig in blanket, broccoli puree, baked cheesy leeks, root veg, seared sprouts with bacon and balsamic vinegar.

Giant big in blanket smoked on the #weber smokey mountain

Did my now regular sous vide turkey crown this year, too.

This was actually a previous one, but similar to the Christmas day 2025, just didn't take photos this year..

Spatchcocked BBQ chicken. Not much more to it, hit it on the flames then roasted in some braising liquid and reduced.

Been baking..

Did a take on @janespatisserie biscoff blondies, but using @pollenbakery croissant butter on top instead (highly recommend), did a chocolate chip loaf cake with @cherrytreepreserves chocolate orange curious curds mixed through, and an apple cake with a bunch of apples from my neighbour.

Had a bunch of chicken wings, so cooked them over two nights. This one was @angusandoink master blast rub i think. Came out ace, simple stuff...

Bit BBQ related, but I have finally got into this air fryer stuff, very belatedly.

Not sure I can reason out more kitchen gadgets but here we are! This one was buttermilk fried chicken, was gonna make Elvis fried chicken but kept it simple and made a batter using amongst other things @angusandoink Love Burger rub.. (yes I know, for burgers, but SPG so thought why not!?), and my new @kelenandwillian airfryer

Smoked beef shorties and Mac and cheese. Hella decadent but hella good (there was veg there too, promise, mum)

With my older boy absolutely loving @gnhm_wales smoked brisket rolls, I figured I should try make a sandwich that can compete, so this my @gnhm_wales tribute, what I'm calling "The Cherry Halliwell"

Beef rib fingers rubbed with @angusandoink Cherry crush rub, smoked over cherry wood before finishing in a braise of cola and BBQ sauce (I would have used @fentimansltd cherry cola, but didn't have any). Toasted brioche roll, melted @snowdoniacheese cane aged cheddar and special sauce.

My boy enjoyed it, but no match for the brisket!
