BAD NEWS BEARS had a great week in New York.

We presented the show, spent time with some terrific people, and now turn toward what’s next: A.C.T. in San Francisco in February 2027.

At the heart of this strategy is something pretty simple: a show that works across generations. A great Paramount Pictures title you already know, reinvented for families to discover together.

Broadway at 35,000 feet. ✈️⚡️

This is pretty damn cool.

THE OUTSIDERS x AMERICAN AIRLINES

This month, The Outsiders took to the skies with a first-of-its-kind experience across American Airlines’ domestic network — bringing the music, stories and artists behind the show to travelers across the country.

Shane Snow and I loved helping bring these two worlds together alongside an incredible group of partners.

Because great stories shouldn’t stop at the theater doors.

They can travel. Find new audiences. Show up in unexpected places.

Sometimes even at 35,000 feet.

Stay Gold. ⚡️✈️

I’ve never really believed in “guessing” when it comes to what works.

Too much of this business gets framed like it’s instinct or luck.

It’s not.

If you spend enough time in the right rooms—
theater, media, policy, capital—you start to notice something: The same ideas keep finding their way through.

What resonates isn’t random.

It shows up again and again until someone recognizes it early enough to move on it.

People often wait until something feels proven.
By then, it already is.

I’ve been thinking a lot about that lately.
When story meets capital, culture starts to bend.

You should be the one who actually decides to go first.

Because that’s where everything is. by @robbyoneill

On the train to DC this morning, still carrying three nights of theater with me.

Ragtime. The Lost Boys. Rocky Horror.
Different rooms, different audiences — same question running through all of it: where do I fit in a country that keeps shifting under my feet?

Heading to Capitol Hill to make the case for federal arts funding. And honestly? Those three shows made the argument better than I ever could.

The arts are where we process all of this — together. Shoulder to shoulder. Feeling something before we decide what we think.

When that funding fragments, it’s not just uneven dollars. It’s uneven voice. Whole communities go quiet — not because they don’t matter, but because they can’t sustain themselves alone.

You can believe in smaller government and still recognize that some things are too foundational to hand off entirely.

A country that stops investing in its own cultural voice doesn’t get more efficient. It gets harder to recognize itself.

Practical argument. Not a partisan one.

Here we go! .🚂 by @robbyoneill

As we approach the State of the Union, I’ve been reflecting on what truly defines a nation’s strength — of course the GDP and military might, but also how it takes care of its people and shows up in the world.

Three areas I believe demand honest attention right now:

Economic pressure on everyday families is unsustainable — and a hollowed-out middle class undermines both our democracy and our global credibility.

Mental health has become a worldwide crisis. Nations that invest in human well-being lead with something more lasting than power — they lead with moral authority.

Institutional trust is eroding fast, domestically and internationally. Our standing in the world isn’t just built on strength — it’s built on consistency, integrity, and follow-through.
Strong nations are built from the ground up. What happens on Main Street echoes on the world stage.

I’d love to hear your perspective after tomorrow’s event. by @robbyoneill

I don’t usually use social media to speak politically, however, I think the current context deserves it.

I’ve sat across from too many people carrying too much to stay quiet about it.

This is, by no means, a red vs. blue conversation.

This month, the latest jobs report landed. 130,000 jobs added — and yet unemployment is higher than it was a year ago.

The market is creating opportunities for some and leaving too many others behind. During Black History Month, of all times, we’re looking at Black women’s unemployment sitting at 6.3% — nearly double that of white women. That’s not a statistic. That’s somebody’s mother, sister, daughter.

Women are being asked to fight battles that should have been settled by now — in the workplace, in healthcare, in public life. Families are stretching every dollar further than it should have to go, with no sign that the people making decisions feel the weight of that.

The world is watching. And it’s repositioning itself. What we do in this moment determines what kind of country we hand to the next generation.

Most Americans aren’t on television. They aren’t trending. They’re just trying to build a decent life — and they are being underserved by a system that rewards extremism and punishes nuance.
That is not acceptable.

The question isn’t whether things need to change — it’s whether enough of us are willing to move at the same time, in the same direction, with enough force to make it matter.

I believe we are. I believe the middle is ready to become a movement.

Tell me in the comments — what does this country look like when we actually get it right?

Let’s build that picture together. Because we move — or we don’t move forward all. by @robbyoneill

Still reflecting on our recent Jo – The Little Women Musical concert at Theatre Royal Drury Lane.

Yes, it was a sold-out night in an extraordinary theatre. But what’s stayed with me most is the conversation that surrounded it — about honoring classic stories, about stewardship, and about how we thoughtfully build something larger from a single evening.

We’re especially grateful for the ongoing dialogue with The Orchard House, which continues to ground this work in the spirit and legacy of Louisa May Alcott.

“How could I venture to stay when now it’s time to fly away?” Thank you @jothemusical for allowing me to fly away with this incredibly stunning piece of art. It was glorious being back on a West End stage and making my Theatre Drury Lane debut! I don’t know how we did that in 6 days fam, but some Alcott magic was definitely in the room ✨ Thank you @redfeld for your stunningly lush musical creations, @chrissyhardingmusic and @johnnykola for a gorgeous, intelligent, sumptuous book full of heart, @joann_m_hunter for being our incredible fearless leader and @thebrianpurcell and @robbyoneill for making the dream and the magic come alive. And to the insanely talented cast and crew who are the stuff of dreams, truly. I am one lucky March sister 🥰🥰 by @robbyoneill
