I wrote what's below last year after a show with @nickgibsonmusic and @mr.spyderdiehl , and holds just as true after last weekend. Thanks again to @renfroe.creative for the pics!

Nick Gibson and David Diehl are my guys. I love how even when time has passed between gigs, we continue to speak the same language.

'Cabin in the woods' has just gotten a new meaning.

From the colorful Lambos, through the plethora of white BMWs, all the way to the OG NSX. This one has it all.

Garage in the video is special to me because I've posted some of it in my 2nd ever post. ~6 years ago.

Today is the anniversary of 'legally' solidifying Collins into our family. Although we have been with Collie since before she was born (and @taybmerrick held her literally at minute 1), this day still holds such a special place in our hearts, and we are so lucky for everyone that helped us along the journey. She completed our family, and we couldn't imagine it any other way. If anyone out there is considering adoption, please know Taylor and I would love to be resources in any way we can. by @robbys3m3

My Mom was a fighter. Although we lost her to cancer last month, she won many battles. Throughout the years, she and my Dad had been told multiple times to prepare for the worst, and multiple times she refused to accept that message. She was determined to fight hard...try the next medication...do the next treatment...live as well and healthily as she could (so that she had more time with Dad and her family)...she wanted to go to the next grandkid's wedding...she wanted to meet the next baby that was born...she cherished these moments. Because of her determination, hard work, and love for her family, she (and we) were able to make many memories together that were by no means a given to make. My parents were together for nearly 68 years. Just writing that sentence amazes me....the work they put in, the love they shared, and what her and Dad built together.

Last week I chose to run a half marathon. Not really because I wanted to, but because I was thinking about my Mom, and felt like I wanted to challenge myself and do something harder than normal. I feel like I do a good job of 'checking the boxes' every day, but I know I can be more intentional with some aspects of my life, and I want to get out of what's comfortable (or sometimes just simply-easier). I decided I was going to try my best and dedicate the run to Mom (Tay helped me voice that and wrote on my chest and back for me:). To finish how I wanted to finish, I made some small but important (and harder) changes leading up the race. Frankly, when it was getting tough, people seeing I was running for Mom and getting their 'thumbs-up' gave me a kick that helped me finish the race in a way I was proud of, and also honored my Mom.

I was lucky to have my Mom as the role model and fighter she was. She taught me so much while she was here. But now I look back, reflect, and realize I will continue to learn by-example of her actions and determination. I'll work to honor her by building on what I learned last week with the race. I'll continue to work to get all the wins I can.

My Mom fought and won a lot of battles. She continued to win them because of her love for Dad, her family, and her friends. by @robbys3m3
