6 months with Binx! Cameron and I adopted our little Binx 6 months ago, and he’s been such a fun addition to the family. Hocus Pocus was one of my favorite movies growing up (still is) and I’ve always wanted a little all black cat named Binx of my very own. Watching Binx grow from kitten to now has been such a joy. We both love and adore his little personality. He is whimsical • super cuddly • playful • determined to steal anything shinny (like my necklace) • loves his older brother, Brooks • vicious toilet paper roll destroyer • our little shadow • professorial napper • PHD in silent but deadly farts • nose nibbler • singular white whisker (that we hope never goes away) • mesmerized by the water from the kitchen sink • black belt in parkour and jump scares • TV show fanatic •

I know that my flaws sometimes outweigh my strengths, and I know there are still days where I fake a smile in order to satisfy the happiness and the wellbeing of others.

I’m still learning that with practice hard things become easier.

I am growing to understand that when it feels like the universe is telling me “no”, it’s really saying “not right now” or “I have something better”.
I’m learning that patience truly is a virtue, and good things come to those who wait.
I’m learning to understand that my heart has been broken in several different ways, but I still deserve love, and there’s no need to chase it.
I’m learning to wave my white flag as I surrender to the universe, and understand that I am no longer in charge.
I’m learning to let go of the wheel, as I become the backseat driver instead, while creating new boundaries, expressing the direction I truly want to go, and trusting that someday I’ll get there.

I just wanted to say thank you for all the birthday wishes I received last week! I had an amazing time and celebrated in all the best ways, with all the best people! I truly appreciate all the love and support I have from my friends and family, and realize it’s something I do take for granted often. So, thank you, I love you. ❤️ I also wanted to give a big thank you to my boyfriend, Cameron, for making sure that this week I felt seen, heard, and celebrated. He’s the best, I’m so lucky. Thanks, babe! ❤️ This year I really want to focus on the “glimmers” in my life, the simple moments that bring me joy and peace. So… we found a cat that’s supposedly been waiting 300 years for a virgin to light a black flamed candle. 🕯️
Meet Binx, the newest member of our family. Ever since I was little I’ve always wanted a black cat to name Binx, named after the black cat, Thackery Binx, in Hocus Pocus, and now he’s here! He has the silliest personality, loves to cuddle in bed, loves to play with and torment his older brother, Brooks. He has all the zooms, the cutest little meow, and the most adorable and loud purr. ❤️ Now we get to turn him into “one of those fat, useless, contented house cats”. Welcome home Thackery, Cameron and I already love you so so much! ❤️🐈‍⬛

Joy for Jacob Day was a success! We bought some toys and randomly placed them at the playground for kiddos to find and enjoy, followed by dinner with Jacob at the cemetery. We love and miss you, baby Jacob. I hope you could feel all the joy in memory of you. ❤️
