For years, I wasn’t sure what I wanted or where I belonged. I had many interests and explored different paths, hoping to find the one that felt right. I started in healthcare, inspired by my family and driven by a desire to help people. Yet even then I felt a quiet emptiness. Often wondered if I was really making a difference or if I was in the right place at all.

Seeking a new perspective, I decided to become a flight attendant. Training was challenging – the work demanded adaptability, patience, and teamwork. I loved meeting new people, traveling, and experiencing new places. It was exciting, yet I realized that something essential was still missing.

Through that experience I learned something crucial about myself: my greatest fulfillment comes from helping others in a deeply personal way. Supporting patients, and knowing that my work can directly impact someone’s life gives me a sense of purpose that nothing else has.

Arriving at this realization wasn’t easy. It required stepping away and reflecting on what matters to me. But that journey brought clarity. Now I understand that patient care isn't just a career – it's where I feel most connected. taken in Salt Lake City, Utah by @robcadiz

I've always been afraid of the ocean, so trying paddle boarding for the first time was way outside my comfort zone. It was intimidating, but I'm glad I faced my fear—and I actually enjoyed it. taken in Coronado Beach, San Diego California by @robcadiz
