Great turnout today for the official opening of the Veterans Walkway - a wonderful new feature honouring Calgary’s military history & the stories of those who sacrificed their lives for freedom & our country. Check it out if you are cycling or walking along Memorial Drive. Congrats to my brother in law Tom Leppard who was involved & MC’d today’s event & also family member Bart Peake, who is an active volunteer with the Field of Crosses (one of the community partners supporting the walkway). 🇨🇦 by @robcrooks1

Grateful for this thoughtful card & coffee from one of our @bow_cyclist_club members who I had the opportunity to share some of our Friday coffee rides with. One year ago I was diagnosed with atrial fibrillation & prostate cancer. The news really set me back & like many who receive similar news, I was thinking ‘why me?’ I sought out expert medical advice including a counselor & developed a management plan. Today I’m feeling great, still active & have a good outlook on life, with a bit of new perspective. I’ve had a strong business year, working with some exceptional leaders & teams. None of this would have been feasible without the support of my life partner @fayecrooks, Rachel, Erin & my extended family. #thankful by @robcrooks1

Today we took a driving tour around the local lakes, through Georgeville, Ayer’s Cliff & North Hatley. Lots of cycling tourists enjoying N Hatley. Beautiful rolling terrain with eye popping mansions along with quaint homes & farms. My sensory bank is happily full. @fayecrooks taken in Magog, Quebec by @robcrooks1

Day 2 in the beautiful Eastern Townships. Today a bike tour to Parc du Mont Orford & scenic tour around Magog. Great cycling infrastructure here including both gravel & paved bike paths.
