Amaris Coleman is nervous right now.
Even after her alleged attacker’s arrest, the Georgia State University student says she doesn’t feel safe.
Atlanta police charged 30-year-old Phelan Thorpe with attacking her Midtown on Saturday and stealing and crashing a police car Monday.
On Tuesday, Coleman discovered an unnerving message saved to her stolen phone’s voicemail greeting.
“I don’t even give a f*** about the phone no more,” the man’s voice says. “I’m gonna come air that b**** out, on God. Boy, when I found out I [had] your ID, f*** that, shorty, I need $600 on my Cash app.” by @robdirienzo

The cameras, usually mounted to a black pole, record license plates and other data of whoever passes them.

I asked with the co-founder of Flock about the arrests. by @robdirienzo

Thousands of families in DeKalb County have been staying in run-down extended-stay hotels for months, even years. It is part of a vicious cycle of poverty.

The study from Georgia State University found more than 2,000 families living paycheck to paycheck in DeKalb County, unable to move out of the hotels and secure stable housing. @fox5atlanta taken in DeKalb County by @robdirienzo
