Solid session this morning with some good quality salty bass. Bass thumb in full effect.

Just a head shot of this Spotted Bay Bass to show its size. That’s a 5 inch bait hanging out. Measured out to 18 1/4 inches. Fun morning fishing the little bay in the rain.

Man! I’ve been spoiled lately with the good bite I’ve been on the last week and a half or so. Another fun morning throwing swimbaits at the spotted ones. Got a some really nice grade bass this morning on 5 inch @zmanfishingproducts Deizelminnows. The Halibut were up feeding in the sandy shallows right before the first grass bed. Managed to get a short butt that went 20 inches. One missed blowup on the top water while casting at Corvina, they have bad aim at times. Taking the evening off but hopefully will be dragging my boots through the sand again tomorrow evening.

Same area as last night but on the incoming high. Yesterday evening most fish were males where as this morning most were females. These fish this morning have definitely been feeding on mostly all bait fish, really sharp chompers on these spotties. The bay is alive with bait everywhere. Corvina still making their rounds early morning and late evening. Had a couple shots at them this morning but they had other ideas and better things to eat.
